Version from long ago[edit]

Not really I looked most of the drops, they are the same except like for Soldier and the Fat Bandit, but they seem to hold the same items but the names were changed in KHII only. As for HP has almost remained the same except it was raised a little more in KHII also like let's say a Shadow in KH and CoM had 5-60 as it did and in KHII it was changed from 10-90 I think if we do that this enemy template won't that much bad like everyone thinks it is.-Zolo 24 June 2008 (UTC)

that's because the logo is small sized, by typing image:DarkRiku.jpg/or any other bosse's images, it'll give the full resolution, which is really big. Check the Sanbox--Nelo

I just noticed that the template is lacking any information on elemental resistance. While this could be covered in-article, it would certainly be more convenient if it were showcased in the infobox. I'd be willing to work it in somehow if everyone is okay with it, and then go in and change the boss pages. According to the Official Strategy Guide the elements are as follows;
  • Weapon
  • Fire
  • Blizzard
  • Thunder
  • % Attack (Gravity)
  • Stop
  • Stun
  • Non-elemental

Thoughts? Objections? Anything else?

I don't know how to say it... I don't think elemental resistance is irrelevant but I don't think it's important enough to have it's own case in the infobox. Perhaps if we add it as elemental resistance and weakness in a single entry?

I was actually thinking adding something like at the bottom of the box:

This template is now operational. I will get it set for the various main infobox templates, and it still needs to have the aesthetics done, but as seen at Ice Titan, it works.

And then you have to just select your match for normal (S,D,G) and choose the seed you'd like to start at if it's the Hades Cup.

In the Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories stats, what are the "Special" and "Other" supposed to represent? The guide only lists "Phys. Atk.", "Non-elem", "Fire", "Blizzard", and "Thunder". "Aero" is also not mentioned. Should "Aero", Special", and "Other" even be in this template?

Also, bosses that only appear in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix are using the template for Kingdom Hearts II, which makes the tab read "KHII" when the enemy doe not at all appear in Kingdom Hearts II. For example, see Game:Larxene. --DTN Room Core.png 05:21, February 15, 2010 (UTC)

The game mentions vulnerability to "special attacks", which may just mean non-elemental sleights. I couldn't find confirmation on how that was covered in the guide, and I couldn't get confirmation on whether it included Aero or Other (Gravity, Stop, other status effects). I myself never experimented with the Aero spell in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, but its damage multiplier may just remain constant with all enemies since it is never mentioned to change in the guide. If we cannot find information on these types of attacks, it would be best to simply remove those cells from the template, since we would have no confirmed information to fill them. For those enemies unique to Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, and Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix who are using the templates designed for enemies that appear in their original games, is it possible to replicate the infobox information, but just change what the tab displays? --DTN Room Core.png 10:03, February 15, 2010 (UTC)

My remake[edit]

I just completed some changes on the Heartless Infobox template. It solved the readability issues, also i added some heartless coloring. If it needs some tweaking, that can easily be done. Hope I helped.Will045 07:49, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

I'm fine with the lighter text and all, but I really don't think that the red looks very good around the box, it doesn't really blend in well. I tried making use of the red before but I couldn't get the template right which is why I had the border black when I created it. I've been trying to get used to it, but I just think it looks rather odd, and it doesn't match any of the other templates. Of course, this is only my opinion, so I'd like everyone else to give their thoughts.

Well, one of the huge problems that has been reintroduced to the template is that the calls don't close - so if a cell isn't used, it leaves ugly, broken code. It also leaves out many of the stats, such as Attack, Defense, and MP Recovery. The setup is also not workable for long lists of rewards - see Air Pirate or Mushroom XIII, where the rewards are parsed quite badly. The optional categorization, if it is a problem, can easily be removed, but honestly the rest of this makes the template quite badly coded.

On an aesthetic level, the tiny bits of info in most of the stat cells (HP, Attack, Defense, MP, EXP) leave large blank spaces when they have to be the same width as the longer ones, such as "Rewards", and the asymmetrical look of the current template just looks awful, to me. For "matching other templates", it has the same basic aesthetic as the Equipment and Card templates, and even the new version of the Boss Template (which wasn't even designed by me).

Of course I will go along with the majority decision, and beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but at the very least the coding errors and missing calls need to be fixed.

If it's possible, can you guys tell me what exactly you find problematic about the template? Maybe I can fix it.

Keyblade-Blk.png I know that some of the stats such as attack and defense could be added, as well as a way to make it so that the rewards don't look so crowded and messy, but I don't know what you mean by broken. There shouldn't be any broken code showing because all of the spaces should be used, and if one of the spaces isn't being used, we simply put N/A.

Okay, look at Rare Truffle for example. There are several problems which need to be addressed if you guys are going to use this template:
  1. Rows that will not apply to each Heartless need to be made optional, or at the very least, blankable. N/A is an ugly term, and it is too much to expect new editors to remember to use it.
  2. The text needs to automatically be white if people are going to be linking things.
  3. The missing entries needs to be added.

While I vehemently disagree on which template is more aesthetically pleasing, that's really not something people can come to an agreement on anyway, so whatever. But honestly, if the only problem people were having with the code I created was the organization of the cells, can you just let me modify my code to have the same functionality and safety catches, and just be in the style that you have it in now? Except for the double columns, all the code I added basically did work for us, and I never heard any complaints about it. It would be much easier to help out with coding if people could tell me what they disliked, rather then just saying it was ugly and scrapping it.

Following that up - if you let me at least create a draft of my coding in the single-column style, can we hold one of your guys' polls to see which version is preferred?

I've gone over all of the KH1 enemy infoboxes and made sure they were correct; all of KH1 is done besides the Coliseum-only stats, which we were going to design a new infobox for. I'll finish up the KH2 stats, then start on that infobox.Glorious CHAOS! 20:35, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

Would anyone want me to set up the katakana bit as done here? Okay, all we have left to check are:
  • Chain of Memories enemies and bosses
  • KH2 Bosses
  • Coliseum enemies and bosses
  • Disney enemies
  • Nobody bosses (Twilight Thorn, basically)
The last three we will need new infoboxes for, but we can make a copy of CharacterBoss as CharacterEnemy. Twilight Thorn could also work as simply a regular Nobody template, though we'd have to insert the boss category somewhere. For the coliseum infobox, I'm thinking shades of yellow and blue, with some art of the coliseum pillars for the borders - I'll start working on the actual layout once I get done with the KH2 bosses, but I'll need help with the art, unless we just want to give up on that and say "shades of yellow and blue".Glorious CHAOS! 12:18, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

As far as I remember, no normal Heartless in any Kingdom Hearts seed has stats and resistances specifically for that seed - they are identical to its normal appearance stats. No Heartless appears only in the Coliseum, and no normal Heartless gives up a reward when it is defeated. Is this true?

If so, the stat list in the Coliseum template is a duplicate of the normal stat list, and will be filled by filling the normal stat list.

Since this is for a boss of a character, should both the boss page and the article itself be under a character category?
We don't always have separate pages, though, such as for Hydra or Cerberus. However, if it is making a mess of things, the char category can be removed here and added manually to the appropriate pages.Glorious CHAOS! 05:42, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
