Color change?[edit]

UxieLover1994 Nya? — 14:34, 31 January 2012 (UTC)
678MS.png Yeah, the template's coming along. One idea we should add to it is that the box should be the color of the form it reprisents (eg: Valor - Red). I know a few guys that can help with the box color change.

Ok, but[edit]

Considering we got rid of our last form infobox, lets make sure this thing serves some kind of purpose before you go any further on it. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 14:46, 31 January 2012 (UTC)

Here's my view on an infobox for drive Forms. Basically, it doesn't seem like it would improve the presentation and legibility of the information."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 22:35, 2 February 2012 (UTC)

As Kryten said, an infobox for driveforms doesnt seem to be utterly neccesary, though it's not detrimental either. You should gather some more oppinions on the usefulness of this template, and work with it more so it can be further customized, like beign able to change the colors. As for the infobox itself:
  • Obtained should be clear and concise, instead of "Along with Sora's new clothes at Mysterious Tower", just Mysterious Tower is enough.
  • Form color should be the color of the infobox, not a cell by itself. Able to be customized according to the form.
  • Im not even sure if Represents is really neccesary...
  • the status screen description should deffinetely not be in the infobox.

Otherwise, it doesnt look like if it could do harm.

KrytenKoro - "I'm the doctor, I'm the patient. Don't forget that - it's important! If you love me like I love me, everybody will be sorry."
I don't think there's really any point to having "obtained" if it's just the world, and if it's the full thing, it doesn't make sense to put it in an infobox.
  • Form color isn't a canon quality, and shouldn't be listed as if it was.
  • Status screen is unnecessary.
  • "Represents" is probably going to be too wordy, and is in the lead for all of these anyway.
  • I would reorganize Gauge Consumption and Support Characters into: "Consumes", like so:

Romaji '
Growth Ability
Consumes Drive

with drive just being the number, rather than a full sentence. The background and text color can be handled with a switch template similar to Style. 16:56, 7 February 2012 (UTC)

KrytenKoro - Click
The issue wasn't that I didn't understand, but that a Form doesn't actually boost those things. What it does is give you a new set of active and passive abilities which provide all the gameplay effects beyond the color change to Sora's clothes.

Also, the width of the infobox needs to be standardized, there should probably be a "desc" underneath the image, and the image should have a white background isntead of whichever color the table has. and the orb thing you did below, which could be easily coded. Once those are done, I would put these up for consideration in the forums.

A new idea[edit]

KrytenKoro - You should have figured out whether bodies age without their hearts, Nomura.
Not sure what you mean about the border; I just separated out the color/color2 code you had done into a switch function. Final and Anti Form can just have a blank square there, it's fine.

We need to standardize the width of the columns so that Anti Form's doesn't act like that even though it's empty, or we need to turn that into a switched section so that it doesn't appear at all. Do we want to allow sprites (gauge sprite, basically) for this, like the enmy template has? Also, can I add the code to include foreign wiki linking?

Finally, the descs still need to be added so that they appear as image captions. Once we address these issues and have each infobox coded up, we should open up a forum to see if people like them.

KrytenKoro - "Punch your lights out, hit the pavement. That's what I call entertainment. Causin' problems makes you famous - all the violence makes a statement."
That was me. Also, can you get me a screenshot of the Limit Form description, in Japanese? There is no way that the translation you were given was right.

Not the description from the mirror, the description in the main menu. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 16:01, 10 February 2012 (UTC)

KrytenKoro - "Hurricane beats all housing or apartments. This sucker is a Cat-6!"
There seriously aren't any. You can compare your stats before and after, they are exactly the same. All that changes is that the Form replaces your Action abilities, adds to your Support abilities, upgrades the respective Growth ability, and if it has Synch Blade, lets you use the second Equipment ability. Nothing other than the color of your clothes and your list of abilities is actually changed.

KrytenKoro - "It's always best when the other chap is willing to die for his beliefs; you both have the same goal in mind."
Also, we need to get the sprites to arrange neatly somehow. Possibly by setting up white-bordered columns, or arranging them differently.

Sorry, that's still the wrong one. Go to the MAIN stats screen, NOT the Limit Form stats screen, and move the cursor down to the Limit Form. Do you know what I'm saying? --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 00:23, 12 February 2012 (UTC)

Let me be sure. You went to the Stats screen, selected Sora's name, scrolled down to the purple item with the word リミット , and it still said that? --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 13:16, 12 February 2012 (UTC)

Examples and Tests[edit]

|name= Input the form name.
|kana= Input form name in japanese.
|romaji= Input form name in japanese Romaji.
|ability= Input the form's growth ability.
|drive= Input how many drive bars it uses.
|allies= Input which/many allies the form uses.
|desc= Input form description.

KrytenKoro - "Hey, I want to settle down. And as soon as I find the right small group of girls, the seven or eight women who are right for me, my wandering days are over, buddy."
The coding looks complete. We need Neumannz to check the descriptions for accuracy real quick, and for Erry to check whether he can get the Anti Form description. If you can add in the foreign-language links (fr, de, es), too, then this should be ready to post in the forums for community approval.

I've gotta say, Mateus, this thing looks bloody awesome. It was a great idea of yours.

Credit goes to Erry. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 21:00, 5 March 2012 (UTC)

KrytenKoro - "Hurricane beats all housing or apartments. This sucker is a Cat-6!"
So, was he able to get Anti? Or is that him saying it's not possible?

Not necessarily either, I just asked him for the descriptions of all the drive forms, english and japanese, but didn't ask whether he could even find one for Anti. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 23:28, 5 March 2012 (UTC)

Okay, so I'm pretty sure that sprites no longer change, right? Just an overall one for the world costume. So, we'd want to just have models of the standard, toy, monster, and pirate designs for each form."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 15:09, 19 February 2019 (UTC)

Unless I'm misunderstanding your question, Sora's health bar sprite does change. Example: silver monster fur in Monstropolis while in Ultimate Form. Not only is this seen in the model, but also reflected in the sprite. - Challenge Sigil KHD.pngEternal Nothingness XIIIChallenge Sigil KHD.png 15:19, 19 February 2019 (UTC)
Notice the red-furred sprite in this image, for instance. - Challenge Sigil KHD.pngEternal Nothingness XIIIChallenge Sigil KHD.png 15:23, 19 February 2019 (UTC)
I didn't notice that. Hmm. I guess then all we need to do to make this KH3-ready is switch out the Christmas/Halloween/Space slots for Monster/Pirate/Toy slots."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 18:59, 19 February 2019 (UTC)
Okay, we'll need to try to figure out how to get good images of the various forms and sprites, and we need to program in color themes for blitz and second, but it should be workable now. Please ping if there are any issues."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 19:19, 19 February 2019 (UTC)
