Inferno (ブレイズ Bureizu?, lit. "Blaze") is a pair of Chakrams that can be wielded by Axel in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. It can be upgraded to Inferno+.

When equipped in either regular or "+" form, it shortens Axel's three-hit combo into one with only one hit, followed by a combo finisher in which Axel throws the weapons. His aerial combo is also switched to a simple downward toss of the Chakrams.

Design

An Inferno Chakram's design consists of a black outer wheel with four large spikes along the edge. The handle in the center is a black cross. The design in the middle consists of four red, vaguely teardrop-shaped loops of metal that connect to the handle by the tips and to the spikes on the outer edge by the wide end.

Gameplay

The ground combo is very simple, starting out with a simple slash to the left. It ends by throwing the Chakrams while spinning.

The aerial combo is even simpler. It is simply throwing the Chakrams strait to the ground.

Etymology

"Inferno" is a Latin name for the Christian Hell, and has come to be a synonym for an intense, raging fire.
