Erry - Wretched SeeD TALK - -CESONIV SOCEW CESUL SOHTIF- + -FITHOS LUSEC WECOS VINOSEC- ~ 17:27, 11 June 2011 (EDT) So as of today's Roundtable, we've decided that image conversion will go along in either one of two ways; first we will ask of which method you would prefer to work around and then once the majority has chosen, we will change the format (on this page) to show which group of people will work on which category:

There are 3 categories, one for those who can make .pngs but are unsure if they can make them transparent. One for those who can both make .png and transparent. And one for those who cannot do either, they can mark the images for deletion as well as mark their correct names via the Bad Name template.

To answer your question, yes. You can make them transparent as long as you have the utilities to. Erry 04:09, 12 June 2011 (EDT)

Before I choose, I'd like to ask something. Is converting images to .png as simple as opening the image, and saving the image as .png format or do we have to enhance the quality of the image and stuff? If it's as simple as changing the format, then using something as simple as Microsoft Paint would do, no? ^{What mattered most} _{was remembered least} 06:38, 13 June 2011 (EDT)

With .png conversion, all you need to do is convert it to .png, if you have the skills to make it transparent, then do so as well to save time. Erry 07:46, 13 June 2011 (EDT)

You can put them all under one heading, I don't care, but I'd like to not be searching the Recent Changes for the ones we're done with.

Also @Chitalian: But doesn't Photoshop also cost like $200ish? You can get the same result with using GIMP and also GIMP is free too. Its what I use for my image sizing. User:UnknownChaser/Sig2 07:50, June 14, 2011 (EST)

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Whenever you replace an image or add transparency, please place the two versions in different tabs, and revert back and forth between the two.
