710MS.png Hey, I'm a girl. TNE is a girl. User:NinjaSheik is a girl. They're are females who play the series. A boy series is more like Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter, and Crash Bandicoot. Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Spyro the Dragon, Pokemon and Sonic the Hedgehog are for both genders. Girl games are not like those. See, KH does have females who play it; it's not just for boys, y'know!

My sister plays R&C and Crash and has three of the Jak games, so I don't know where you get the idea such games are also just for boys.

There is no such thing as a game series that caters to a specific gender. At all. Kaihedgie 14:23, July 9, 2010 (UTC)

Of course girls can be gamers. Not all games in the world were meant for boys. Seriously! I think all games in the world were meant for both genders ^_^

Auror Andrachome Of course, your majesty!
I'm a teen and I play Kingdom Hearts.

SERIOUSLY!? WHAT THE JASHIN &#^#&@%@^ IS WRONG!?
It's (in my opinion), the media's fault. I have suffered, during my childhood, and mostly now in adolescence, due to my gamer-ish personality. I have recieved many horrible names, due to my non-girly girl attitude. I'm a teen, I'm a girl, and I'd spend all my days playing Videogames(If my mom allowed me...). This girls-have-to-care-only-about-shopping-and-boys-and-cellphones drives me mad, to the point I HAVE no more friends in real life who are girls, because of their falls in the corporate traps, that turn them into screeching fangirls that would wilingly waste their lives on such idol, leaving them with no bright future.

I probably shouldn't be here because I'm not a girl but I agree completely with all of you. There is no such thing as a gender specific game. Especially games like Kingdom Hearts or Final Fantasy! I think stereotypical accusations like this are just stupid, immature and closed-minded.

The Fanfic says yes.

TALK - What would it take for me to be like you? — 04:14, July 11, 2010 (UTC)
I agree with all of you, games and be played by anyone, there's no rule stating that only boys can be gamers, I'm a girl but I also am a gamer

Three of my friends play it and they're all girls. One of knows more about KH than me.--Memorized

Symbol Character - Mickey.png
FA icon.png You're talking about a girl who has access to the Final Mixes ! :D And yes, I do more than just Kingdom Hearts, of course.

I play Jak II, Jak III, used to play Onimusha, and I also play Shadow Hearts II and III, Suikoden and lots of other stuff.

So in short : games = / = gender specific. And I'm glad all of you hold the same opinion. ^_^

well, I'm a boy but I live in San Diego and whenever I go to comic con, every year there's a bunch of girls cosplaying as KH characters. like this year, I saw several Kairis, Namines and even a couple Aquas. Some girls even cosplayed as Sora! so yes there are definately girls who enjoy these games just as much as us guys do :)

Haha, I'm a KH cosplayer too, Aqua right now, but I'm planning on Zexion soon. And yes, I'm a female gamer. I'd say quite a fair chunk of KH players are female.

Yeah, I would love to have an opportunity to cosplay as any of the awesome KH characters but of course, i'd would need a good ol' Organization 13 coat to complete the look....(and to spook out anybody at school for Halloween, especially my vice-principal). But to the question at hand, yes I'm a teen girl who plays KH and LOVES IT! ^_^

In a word, Yes. Teenage girls do play Kingdom Hearts. Just look at the users on this wiki. But i'm a teenage boy and no one on here should ever generalise that only guys play video games, no matter what type of game. Antisocialite 09:22, September 1, 2010 (UTC)

^^Well put, Antisocialite.^^ Just to add to that- I'm a teen girl and KH is my favorite series, then FF. Who says girls don't play?Destati Dream XIII Lea Frisbee.png

710MS.png Well, some girls love Ratchet & Clank. I'm among them. (The earlier comment on boy games; sorry about that).

Girls can be ether normal, tomboyish, girly-girl, gothic, punk, or "interested in nothing now-a-days except nylons and lipstick". (NOT offencive). But when one takes an interest with this series, it does not matter what they like, y'know.

CaelumLucisCaliga Talk! - The only thing sad about Final Fantasy X...

Is that it leads to Final Fantasy X-2 — 17:50, 1 May 2011 (EDT)

Heartless Emblem.pngIn my perspective (my opinion ok? please don't yell and scream) KH (and FF for that matter) seem to be tipped a bit closer towards guys. Apparently this is also the case for the staff, since most (most meaning more than half) protagonists in the series are male. But there still is somewhat of a balance. It's harder to see that here since most editors here are guys. It seems (KEYWORD: SEEMS) that by this information, more guys are inclined to do the editing work. If you really want proof of girl-fans (not fangirls...well maybe) check out the many cosplays. A great portion of cosplayers are girls. I've always found this to be very confusing yah?

LOL, I have 6 sisters, a cousin and a girlfriend who all play KH Games. we have small tournaments to see who can beat certain bosses or complete certain quests in the shortest amount of time. XD. We play Birth By Sleep the most now since it's battle system is way better than the Days one.--Raph the Great 18:40, 1 May 2011 (EDT)

710MS.png Female proragonists who are very important in the storyline: Aqua, Kairi, Naminé, Xion, Belle, Jasmine, Alice, Cinderella, Snow White and Aurora.

Other serieses that have a female protagonist or antagonist: Spyro the Dragon (Elora, Bianca and Sheila in the classic series, Cynder in the Legend series), Crash Bandicoot (Coco Bandicoot, Nina Cortex), Ratchet & Clank (Angela Cross, Sasha Phyronix, Luna) and mutiple Final Fantasy games (with female heros such as Rosa, Rydia, Terra, Rinoa, Yuna, Ashe etc, and female villains such as Adel, LaBlanc etc).

CaelumLucisCaliga - Why do I feel so... 2-dimensional?
TALK - 18:40, 2 May 2011 (EDT)
Heartless Emblem.pngThink about it though: Princesses of Heart don't really count since regarding the entire story, they display little significance. All except Kairi are world-specific characters (not counting the time they were in Hollow Bastion) and were only important in one games' storyline, and the princesses themselves weren't even the main focus; it was their hearts that was important. Now considering that, there are 4 female protagonists (Aqua, Kairi, Naminé, Xion) and 9 male (Sora, Riku, Donald, Goofy, Mickey, Roxas, Ansem the Wise (to an extent), Ven, and Terra). Not to mention the main antagonists: every single antagonist was male except Xion, Larxene, Ursula, and Maleficent. AND MARLUXIA

And concerning Final Fantasy: (one example)

  • FFVII
    • male: cloud, barret, cid, vincent, red XIII, sephiroth, tseng, reno, rude, hojo, rufus shinra
    • female: aerith, tifa, yuffie, elena, jenova, lucrecia, that other girl who wears red and works with shinra but i forgot her name

To quote Yuffie from FFVII AC: sexist, SEXIIIST!
