Hollow Bastion
Hollow Bastion is the second to the last world of the game. Your party member is the Beast.
First Visit
You'll start at a Save Point (Type B) at the bottom of the falls, where Sora feels a strange wamth in his Heart. Now, you have to climb the falls using the moveable ledges. There's plenty of Treasure Chests along the way, including those underwater. To reach these, use the bubbles; they will take the party to the chests, as well as provide them with air to breath. However, you can only stay underwater for a few seconds before being taken back.
Soon, you'll encounter Riku confronting a Beast on how he was able to escape the dustrution of his world. The Beast said that it was because of his strong Heart that lead him to Hollow Bastion, with the hopes of rescuing Belle, a Princess of Heart. However, Riku then attacks him, then confronts Sora, explaining the he himself is the Keyblade's Chosen One, taking back the Keyblade as a result. This, unfortunetly, causes Donald and Goofy to reluctently turn to Riku's side, as per the King's orders; both leave the party as a result. Sora, meanwhile, is left with only Riku's old Wooden Sword to fend for himself.
At this point, the Beast will join the party, showing no fear, and determaned to rescue Belle. He's quite powerful, and will be able to deal damage to any Heartless encountered. However, Sora's Wooden Sword will deal no damage, but that does not mean Sora can no longer fight, as he can still do magic damage, so focus on magic for the time being if you want to train a bit more.
The door to the castle is locked, so you'll need to take another route to unlock the door. To the right of the lift will be another pathway, that will get you into the basment of the castle. Your main goal is to reach the end and unlock the main entrance. There's a Trinity Jump down there, but it cannot be used at this point, as Sora's only party member is the Beast.
After unlocking the door, return to the entrance, where the Beast will be lured out of the party through an illusion of Belle being turned into a Heartless. Meanwhile, you'll be reunited with Riku, Donald and Goofy, but the former will soon attempt to terminate Sora by sending a Shadow Ball at him... which is blocked by Goofy, who decided to go against the King's orders to protect Sora. Donald will also defect back to Sora, thanks to the friendship that the trio gained during their quest. At this point, Sora's heart becomes strong again, with the help of his true power: his friends. Sora will then get back the Keyblade, Donald and Goofy will rejoin the party, and a battle with Riku will begin.

After this battle, Riku will flee, and the Beast will re-appear and rejoin the party. Your main goal now is to solve the puzzles of the castle and reach the top of it.
