Barrier (リフレク Rifureku, lit. "Reflec") is an ability that appears in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep and Kingdom Hearts III. It momentarily summons a spherical shield of light around the user, fending off enemy attacks.
Mechanics
In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Barrier is a defense command exclusive to Aqua that is triggered either on the ground or midair by pressing while stationary or walking. Holding the button extends the duration of the barrier whenever any attacks come into contact in succession. If used in midair, it cancels the user's momentum. Barrier has a maximum level of 3.
In Kingdom Hearts III, Barrier is an action ability. When used, the user surrounds themselves with a barrier that blocks attacks from all directions.
