Why is Demyx so weak??

I've always defeted demyx on the first try. Why is he so easy??

And another question: how come the data replica of Demyx is so hard ? Well, don't ask me - I find it hard to eliminate all the water clones he makes of himself. Tried using Firaga, Reflega, Wisdom Form, Limit Form (Ragnarok) - and none of them seem to work because I can hardly get past the second round of clones. Blizzaga the water clones, which allows you to use the Reaction Command, use it, and then use Firaga on the water clones that get sucked in. XienZo 16:44, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

To me he wasnt so much of a hard opponent but a tricky one, but i always lost (and everyone seems to complain about the same) because of the water clones, i mean in terms of power he wasnt strong ie if he didnt use the clones hed be very easy but like Luxord uses tricks in order to become a damn hard opponent

I manage to beat him easier by disabling Goofy's limit (since he is thought killed in the next scene). I sometimes lose, but I keep trying. I sometimes get scared and breathe faster as if I am having a child. I only find a few other bosses harder, such as Xaldin. Thank you, Amalia

Flashpenny - You'll wear the face of despair. TALK - Where's the fun in this? Why is everyone saying that Demyx was so easy? He was one of the hardest fights in the game for me. I must've spent a month or so before taking him down. The only boss that took me longer to defeat was Xemnas at the very end of the game (and probably Sephiroth if I ever bothered to fight him but I don't). He's quite tricky. The part that always got me was when he did that "Come on, kick to the beat." attack. I only beat him when I equipped aerial combos and began using limits.

Flashpenny - You'll wear the face of despair. TALK - Where's the fun in this? That's the one thing that always gets me in this series, I keep on forgetting to use summons. I only defeated Demyx following a simple strategy: Don't stay far away, and you'll have to keep on doing this for another day.

Perhaps it's for the challenge. I suppose hitting Demyx just like that wouldn't seem much of a challenge. Imagine, whilst Luxord is a gamer and the rest of the Organisation are melee fighters, Demyx lies somewhere in between the two categories. TALK - Each time you get near one, they sneak some water into your lungs, and the only way to make it vaporize is to destroy the "core" of the water, the water clone. Also, Luxord's cards are actually parallel dimensions. And I am totally making bull up as I go along.

(hehe, I think that it is funny that one of his name possibilities is Eymd, it means sorrow/loneliness in Icelandic :P)

Loneliness ? Well, the only part where I can say Demyx is an epitome of sorrow is when he dies. Heard the way he cries in despair ? Tips to beat Demyx

When I finally beat Demyx, the Genie was a big help, during the battle he'd like pick you up or something and swing you around. It took away one and a half of Demyx's health bar, and you could here him yelling ow! repeatly in the background. Contact Hades?

It says that he was meant to contact Hades but fails. Why did he have to contact Hades? - Sencilia

But I think he was sending a message to Hades from Xemnas when he was frightened by the curse of the underworld, or even Hades himself. But I think he got as close as the first bit of the area where you have to flee after Auron joins the party before runing away (which made Sora say "Okay?!").

TALK - I don't remember this being mentioned in KH2 - he was just trying to get the Olympus Stone. Maybe we should remove it until it is published?

I think he was to meet up with Hades, but the curse made him too weak to get around, causing him to flee. Then he may have went to find the Olympus Stone and use it to get around, but was stoped by Sora and his friends. We may find out on 358/2 Days.

I have a stupid theory here, but maybe Xemnas wanted to make an alliance with Hades, and he knew that Hades was a hothead ( I know I know pretty pathetic joke there ) and sent Demyx becuase he doesn't like Demyx or something. So Demyx gets all hey how bout you work with my boss with him and Hades gets all like NO! and starts attacking Demyx. So Demyx can't hurt Hades without that Stone and flees screaming RUN AWAY! then hears about the stone somehow, steals it to get back at Hades for making him look like a crybaby. Pretty pathetic, but thats all I got . . .

The Organization isn't concerned with meeting Disney villains, that's Maleficent's modus operandi. He was in the Underworld in an attempt to get the Olympus Stone. Because of his incompetence he got lost and met up with Hades who's obviously not too happy about klutzy hydromaniacs in his home.

Hades is the Lord of The Dead. Xemnas might have been wanting to contact hades to make some sort of deal with him. maybe something along the lines of making it so they cant die, so they could compleat their goal of finnishing Kingdom Hearts. but because of the fact Demyx was too scared, he ran away.

Flashpenny - You'll wear the face of despair. TALK - Where's the fun in this? If Xemnas honestly wanted to make a deal with the Lord of the Dead he would've gone himself. Or he would've sent one of the more brutal and not-easily-intimidated members like Xaldin or Saix. Hell he'd even have sent Xigbar or Luxord on that kind of errand. Knowing Xemnas, he wouldn't have trusted a responsibility like that to someone as pathetic and easily-scared as Demyx. The only time when Demyx ain't scared is when he's talking about Roxas' "treason" and even then it takes a lot to push him over the edge. On the other hand Xemnas could've just been annoyed by Demyx being a useless waste of time, space and air and decided to send him on suicide missions (i.e. he also sent Demyx to take on Sora during the Battle of 1000 Heartless, despite the many obvious risks).

Anyone else think that Hades would make one HELL (lame pun ftw) of a Nobody? Why wouldn't the Organization want him if they were also going after the far weaker Beast? Few reasons why Demyx specifically would be sent there:

1. He's got magical water powers. Hades blocks things with magical fire. It was said by someone that Demyx pourd some strange water on some flames and they disapeared, leting him procead. Perhaps Xemnas realized that Demyx was the only one with any hopes of getting around?

2. Demyx only fakes his incompetance. He's really a powerful member, as demonstrated by that god-awefl-annoying boss fight in Hollow Bastion. Xemnas would have realized that.

3. Maybe it's the whole "opposites attract" theroy? I mean, maybe Demyx could "cool down" Hades enough that he'd listen to whatever the Organization wanted.

You know weirdly that’s a really good thought, I mean Flashpenny mentioned sending Xaldin or Saix, now these two are obviously going to be less intimidated but then again there more likely to end up fighting or insulting Hades or destroying half the underworld. I mean sure Xemnas never met or contacted Disney Villains, but if there was a Lord of the Dead somewhere id certainly not want to be on there bad side. Also there is a possibility that there might be Nobodies in the Underworld, I mean when people die something might cause the darkness left over to become a heartless thus making nobodies. In his own room at an unknown time, Demyx was fixing his hair in front of the mirror. It was revealed that the memories from when he was a human made him do it. His special sitar stood against the wall. It was shaped from his human memories. Finishing setting his hair, Demyx picked up the sitar and strummed it. He plays and plays, but he can’t make a satisfying sound. In truth, he know he won’t be satisfied in all eternity. Since he doesn’t have a heart, there’s no such thing as satisfaction for him. He doesn’t even think he wants to be satisfied. A voice behind him says “Keep it down.”

Suddenly, he turned around and Xaldin was standing there. “Is it too hard to at least knock before barging into people’s rooms?” Demyx stated, displeased, and strummed the sitar again. Xaldin responded, “What will you do with those human memories you cling to?” “Hah? What are you saying, old man?” Demyx’s hand stopped, and he turned just his face towards Xaldin. “What about you?” “Nothing at all." Xaldin responded to his comment. "But I’m interested in how you guys let your human memories influence you.” “Hmm,” Demyx responded, disinterestedly, and plucked the sitar three times. Xaldin wanted him to keep it down because he couldnt sleep.

Demyx thought that was sorta human-like. Xaldin told him that Nobodies need to sleep, too. he also tells him a terrible force is moving this world and they gotta rest to store up power. Demyx says he knows nothing about that. He says he doesn't know anything the members from the old days are thinking, he continues to play the sitar. Xaldin frowned in displeasure, and disappeared.

I've always pronounced Demyx like Dem-eez, but switchted to Dem-icks. As for Luxord, I've called him Lucks-ord. What do you think?

KrytenKoro - This is the song that runs under the credits; these are the credits, so this is where it goes. 'has nothing to do with the movie so we'll say, "Hey! Hey! Hey hey hey hey hey hey!" TALK - That's simply a function of Japanese and romanization. There's no actual "Zi" sound in Japanese, just a "Ji", which would be even more incorrect here.
