Synopsis

Sora immediately heads to the flowing Keyhole, finding a massive Heartless. Suddenly, the beast is mysteriously destroyed. Cid appears, showing off his cannon that defeated the Heartless, with Leon, Yuffie, and Aerith in tow. Sora promptly seals the Keyhole, earning a small celebration. Leon explains that they were able to return to their home world with Cid's ship. Aerith continues, explaining that the complete Ansem Reports reveal that it was actually their renowed leader who created the Heartless. It was Ansem's research that made him lose his heart and body. Sora determines that it is this reason that Riku has been possessed. Sora asks about Ansem's whereabouts, learning that the villian has fled to the abyss of darkness beyond all worlds. Empowered, Sora boasts that he will defeat Ansem and return everything back to normal. Aerith sadly reveals that once the worlds are restored, they will be unable to see each other. Leon and Yuffie comment that they will never forget each other, and that their hearts will bring them together again.

Just as the group is about to leave, Kairi tells of her intentions of going with the group. Sora disagrees, stating that it is much too dangerous. Instead, Sora tells Kairi that their hearts are connected. As long as they think of each other, they are not alone. Kairi gives in, handing Sora her lucky charm. The group then leaves for the final world.

The scene shifts to Riku, walking aimlessly down a dark path. A mysterious voice tells Riku that although he has lost his body, he has obtained the Keyblade "from this side." The voice finishes, stating that to seal the door to darkness, there must be two hearts and two keys.
