Suffixes[edit]

Based On The Armor And the reaction Commands in the blizzard lord/ Volcano Lord Battles The Correct 4th level is "gun" Making the final fantasy conventions irrelevant

Symbol - Magic Hat.png
FA icon.png True, but you can't dismiss them entirely. It's best to make a comparison between the two. Because ultimately, Final Fantasy makes one half of Kingdom Hearts.

TALK - I would be delighted to talk.
Also consider that the -gun suffix clearly to reflect a defensive property, and there is never shown to be even the possibility of a spell such as Firagun, Blizzagun, Thundagun, Aerogun, etc. The Final Fantasy conventions are also clearly not irrelevant, as, indeed that franchise does comprise half of the influence that created Kingdom Hearts.

Wrong info[edit]

Magic power if KH1 isn't based on strength, but on max MP. Shouldn't it be changed ? -Alarielle

Clayton & Cure[edit]

Ive noticed that under enemies that use Cure magic, Clayton is one of them. Now is he really a magic user because to me he clearly just throws a potion, you can even see him toss it into the air.User:Ximodnic 17:57, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Symbol Character - Mickey.png
FA icon.png Methinks the only true Cure users are the Green Requiem and Crescendo. Clayton, Leon and Yuffie... well, I can't say for sure. All three can heal themselves, but to varying degrees. Clayton... I think he uses a Potion too. Yuffie's cure looks like a Cura spell but methinks it's an item.

Helping others always comes before asking others for help. TroisNyxÉtienne

Thanking you, i agree so far its kinda confirmed those heartless use cure spells, and Yuffie looks like Sora who stands pointing his keyblade up, liek she does with her weapon. Ofcourse this could easily be a item as you said. So if its not been done ill remove clayton from the list, unless theres objections ? User:Ximodnic 22:07, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

Clayton uses potions, its a fact.

Actually, Clayton is not the Disney boss to heal Oogie Boogie can heal too if he rolls the right number with his dice.(Bananaphone1996 21:08, May 17, 2010 (UTC))

Should we note types of magics used by enemies? Like Yellow Opera using Thunder magic only or Magician that used 3 types of magic. And maybe we should note that Mysterious Figure uses Doom spell?

Images[edit]

So what are the images that we need for this page? If not the ones that were there and then REMOVED. Erry 03:59, 12 July 2011 (EDT)

I don't know that we do need anymore images, though I suppose if someone absolutely wanted it, we could have animations depicting the things that use up MP -- poss. Thunder, a Summon, and a Limit. We absolutely don't need a list and gallery of all magic in the series.192.249.47.165 10:25, 12 July 2011 (EDT)
AARRRRGG. We don't need the list of spells. It's not comprehensive, what it does have is redundant to the magic articles (which already have a navbox), and it takes up an inappropriate amount of space in the article, considering that the article is "Magic", not "List of spells"."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 05:19, 17 July 2011 (EDT)
It's hidden, it's not taking any space except in the coding. Erry 06:49, 17 July 2011 (EDT)
but why do we need it at all?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 23:21, 17 July 2011 (EDT)

We shouldn't, that's what the navbox is supposed to be for. The only difference is the grouping by game vs. the grouping by whether it's offensive or not. (And actually, neither addresses advanced magic, so neither is comprehensive.) As for images, what really needs to be demonstrated on this page? The casting of some sort of magic? One illustration should be enough, and whichever it is is irrelevent. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 23:30, 17 July 2011 (EDT)

Removing sections[edit]

These are sections I feel are either probably already sufficiently covered here or should be covered elsewhere.

MP may be recovered by inflicting damage enemies; by stepping into a Save Point and allowing the MP gauge to refill; by the use of an Ether, Mega-Ether or Elixir; by the use of a Tent (available in Kingdom Hearts II) or a Cottage (available in Kingdom Hearts); or by picking up the bubble-like MP Orbs dropped by enemies and by the wisps appearing in the Underworld. The abilities "MP Haste" and later "MP Hastera" and "MP Hastega" increase the rate at which MP is recovered. Additionally, "MP Rage" allows magic to be recovered whenever a character takes damage.
Drive Forms
Of Sora's Drive forms, Wisdom Form, Master Form, and Final Form are the best choices for Magic users.

Wisdom Form enables Sora to shoot magic bullets in lieu of his normal physical attacks, enabling combos at a distance but at a reduced power considering the other forms, as only one Keyblade may be used in this form. Only the standard magic powers consume MP, however, and spells may be cast with the greatest speed in this form, which also possesses the quickest MP recovery rate, with Wisdom Form being one of only two ways in which the strongest MP recovery skill, MP Hastega, may be equipped, the other being the Ultima Weapon.

Any magic power used in Master Form will cause a slightly different effect than it normally would, usually incorporating some sort of additional Keyblade attack. Sora will charge forward when casting Fire, and performs a dance-like combo while casting Thunder and will cast a double-Blizzard that goes to either side rather than straight forward. The use of two Keyblades, which combine their magic stats, lends Master form extra spellcasting power, in addition to the Endless Magic ability, which allows magical combos to continue indefinitely, but this disables magic combo finishers entirely. Master form also boasts the second-highest magic recovery rate in automatically equipping the powerful MP Hastera skill.

Sora, in his Final Form, has the strongest magic potential of any party member, despite having the slowest MP recovery of any magic-using drive form. Thanks to the boosts of magic-oriented abilities and the use of two Keyblades in similar fashion to Master Form, Final Form Sora can attack multiple times and with much more power with the amount of magic any other form would require to land one hit. Final Form is able to augment the power of the spells themselves for maximum efficiency, calling upon multiple bolts of lightning, or launching two blasts of ice with a single casting. Although it is the weakest MP recovery skill, Final Form possesses MP Haste, in addition to the very powerful magic-augmenting skill Crime and Punishment.

Kingdom Hearts II magic[edit]

Two major items about KHII magic need to be covered:

  • The fact that they can be incorporated into attack combos
    • Related: Magic used as a finisher differs slightly from normal
    • Related: What are the exceptions?
  • Drive Forms affect the execution of magic (e.g. appearance, range)
    • Related: Also affects magic finishers (e.g. I think Final Form has the Fire finisher generate a large circle of burning spheres)

These need to be detailed on this page, as well as the individual magic pages, but someone needs to see what they do. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 22:41, 4 February 2015 (UTC)

Drive Forms affect magic through specific abilities attached to those forms -- Magic Spice and something else.72.12.205.35 04:15, 5 February 2015 (UTC)
