Melvert[edit]

Given that this game uses "Convert", rather than "Meld", we need to discuss how to label the sections on ability pages that list the commands you can make."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 21:32, 10 February 2011 (EST)

"Synthesized commands"? --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 21:36, 10 February 2011 (EST)
Sure."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 21:38, 10 February 2011 (EST)

Obtained[edit]

These are the ways to obtain commands that I know of."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 20:58, 27 February 2011 (EST)

Pea and I have got a lot of relevant information on our respective note pages, User:Pea14733/Re:coded and User:Neumannz/Notes/Re:coded, on the shops, sector systems, and converting. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 21:24, 27 February 2011 (EST)
Hmmmm based on what the page said, Pea and Neumannz notes, and in-game playing. I think I have what I need to get started on the pages. UnknownChaser 21:37, 27 February 2011 (EST)
...merg. I'd really feel more comfortable if you made sure to make notes archives for the Boss clear drops, Sector rewards, and Subquest rewards first, since everyone seems to forget those."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 02:32, 28 February 2011 (EST)
The only sector I don't have notes on is that one in the Cave / Gauntlet pit. The rest are all complete. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 03:18, 28 February 2011 (EST)
Hmmm the boss drop varies based on the Difficulty Level your playing as, but that's easy to do. The Sector rewards can be done, base on Neumannz notes. Quest rewards are easy becuase I done them all. But the only thing I see missing is the reload time and Overspec reload time for them, how much each fill the Command Gauge by, and the rare prize blox (one you have to find in story) drop and the normal prize blox (one you find in revist to world and Sector prize blox) drop. UnknownChaser 11:14, 28 February 2011 (EST)
Subquest rewards, not Quest rewards."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 13:17, 28 February 2011 (EST)
Oh Subquest rewards, those might be harder to do, due to finding them and figuring them out for witch characters they apply to. UnknownChaser 22:11, 28 February 2011 (EST)
On a relook at this, I think it might be reasonable to have a sell-price column, but not an "obtained" column, considering how long each one would be. We can leave it to the dedicated articles, I think."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 04:36, 24 July 2012 (UTC)

Drops[edit]

Drops from enemies - these can be listed normally.

Boss clear drops[edit]

Each boss, on each difficulty, can drop up to three prizes, which can be won each time they are challenged; Sora's Heartless and Data-Roxas also drop special one-time only prizes that are not quite based on the score achieved (Debug Device Y and Oathkeeper).

Quest rewards[edit]

Rewards from quests - these can be listed normally.

Subquest rewards[edit]

Rewards from subquests, like breaking blox for Selphie, restoring Alice's memories, or choosing a Dream weapon - these can be listed normally.

Of note, most subquests have an initial reward and an etc. reward - Selphie gives a unique prize the first time, and then Potions thereafter. Some, like rescuing the triplets, always give the same reward.

Moogle Shop[edit]

Can be bought from Moogle Shop - these can be listed normally, but need to list when the command becomes available, and whether it is limited.

Sector Rewards[edit]

Rewards from System Sectors. These can be both Sector prizes (1 time only) or general rewards (which increase in price each time). These should be listed (remember the Avatar Sector has them too!), but should list whether they are 1-time or repeatable, and what the initial price is.

Rare Prize Blox[edit]

Have set prizes, only appear once; basically treasure chests.

Prize Blox[edit]

Every single command can randomly drop from a Prize Blox. Not sure how to list this; in table form, it would be extremely redundant.

Scratch Cards[edit]

Most commands can be given as rewards for Character or Bonus Hunts - I have not confirmed whether the top tier commands can also be won, but I would assume so based on the Prize Blox. They frequently drop with levels or C or R addons.

Command compiling[edit]

This is the main method to gain upper-tier commands. Each command lists the recipes for it in the Debug Reports Collection page, so this should be easy enough to fill. Model it like the Command Meld sections for BbS, but most of the bits can be left out of that, as this system merely requires compiling the commands together when they are mastered - there are no probabilities or types; at best, there are ranks.

Element/Type[edit]

Gravity Drop and Quake. Should we say their types are Gravity and Earth, or Normal? Since they certainly look like using Gravity and Earth element, but whether those elements exist in the game or not is still debatable. Oh, and Judgement Triad and Eruption and Shock Fall, they might use Light element as well. The17Ultima Weapon Keychain KHBBS.pngMaster 07:22, 29 March 2011 (EDT)

We can only confirm fire (ignite), blizzard (freeze), thunder (jolt), aero (air-toss), physical, and nil so far. (Actually, not too sure about nil - are there any non-magic techs that go through a Large Body?). When someone gets a hold of the Ultimania, we can check."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 09:47, 29 March 2011 (EDT)
Ugh apparently not, I tried using all Ultimate and Advanced level attack commands and none of the got through it. I don't know if Zantetsuken with Zantetsu Prime Overclock Ability can pierce through it though. The17Ultima Weapon Keychain KHBBS.pngMaster 10:39, 29 March 2011 (EDT)

Donald and Goofy Team Commands

Ability Description Obtained
Goofy Tornado (グーフトルネド Gūfu Torunedo?, lit. Goof-Tornado) Goofy quickly spins into enemies to deal damage. Various attack commands.
Goofy Turbo (グーフタボ Gūfu Tabo?, lit. Goof-Turbo) Add it here Various attack commands.
Donald Firaga (ドナファイガ Dona Faiga?, lit. Dona-Figa) Donald shoots enemies with Firaga. Various magic commands
Donald Thundaga (ドナサンダガ Dona Sandaga?, lit. Dona-Thundaga) Donald uses Thundaga to deal damage to enemies Various magic commands.
Spinner Ray (エイミングレイ Eimingu Rei?, lit. Aiming Ray) Overclock Finisher. After activation, a circular display appears on-screen, with A, B, Y and X arranged around it. A twenty-second timer begins as a small circle begins moving clockwise around the large ring. Data-Sora, Donald and Goofy go back to back and they each shoot out a beam of light. After they begin to spin around and the player must press the correct button as the small circle overlaps with the corresponding symbol to cause Data-Sora, Donald and Goody to increase their speed. Pressing buttons incorrectly deduct seconds from the timer, but fifteen successful button presses cause Data-Sora to cover the area in light, dealing damage to enemies. Always equipped with Donald and Goofy.

Well its safe to say these are bad first drafts. Some of the Compiled stuff, needs to be verified (I guessed a lot with 'combinations' and Friend Cure) and descriptions added. The Donald and Goofy stuff needs to be filled (and more info for Obtained). The finisher looks quite pathetic there with a fat load among the Donald and Goofy section. What is the commands name called for them (i don't think 'Team Commands' are right. Also I don't know where to put Drag'n'Drop, I thought it was classed as a reaction command at first, it can't just have a table for itself can it? If so -

Ability Description Obtained
Drag'n'Drop (ドラッグドロップ Doraggu Doroppu?, lit. "Drag Drop") Data-Sora picks up the gold Keyblade and attacks Sora's Heartless with it making the enemy take form of a weak Shadow. During phases 2, 3 and 4 of the battle against Sora's Heartless, the player can use this ability after the opponent's 'Keyblade Rain' attack.

Thanks to Pea for the info (although I got most info for Drag'n'Drop from its own page). TheFifteenthMember 16:17, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

Donald + Goofy[edit]

Ok, since BBS is gone, I'm returning my focus to Re:coded. For the heads up, I'm working on the Donald + Goofy commands here. TheFifteenthMember 21:04, 14 July 2012 (UTC)

ngM1OTj.png
TheFifteenthMember Yes. You're creepy. I can't say we'll miss you while you're gone, so it'd be best if you did go. We all win that way. TheFifteenthMember 22:02, 14 July 2012 (UTC)
Well that was shorter then I expected! I think its done. If it is done, where do we put the info?
I think there needs to be a separate page to cover special commands, like the Overlay commands, the Donald-Goofy commands, and Drag 'n' Drop. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 00:47, 16 July 2012 (UTC)

Okay so there are four things to deal with:

  • Drag'n'Drop
  • Overlay Commands
  • Donald and Goofy
  • Compiled Commands

Drag'n'Drop could quite easily share an article with Sora's Heartless but that's just a suggestion to put out. I don't have a problem to add it to the new page.

Overlay commands can be organised nicely into an infobox.

Donald and Goofy commands will be a bit messy with an infobox because of how many commands there are to get them. We could have sub-section for each command detailing a description and the commands to get it. We can also have a subsection for spinner ray. Also what do we call this because I don't think 'Donald and Goofy' will do it.

Compiled commands...I realised how big a project this is. I think each command will definatly be able to have a page each because there are about 50 commands in the game. Combine each command with two other and there'll be about 800 combinations. Also does anyone have any idea how the levelling for compiled commands work because I don't have a clue. This could require a massive amount of work.

One last thing, what should we call the new page? I have no thoughts about it. TheFifteenthMember 17:05, 16 July 2012 (UTC)

Each of these commands (except Spinner Ray) basically functions as a modification to the Command Matrix, so it can just be covered here. The Ultimania has an explanation for how the Compiled and Donald/Goofy commands work, so me and Shard can handle setting it up. Also, combining 50 commands three times would give 125000 options, not 800."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 17:14, 16 July 2012 (UTC)

Well you actually done the math. I had a thought, does anyone know what happens when you have item commands in Olympus Coliseum? I'll check later TheFifteenthMember 17:25, 16 July 2012 (UTC)

And one more thought. Special attacks can go with compiled commands easily. TheFifteenthMember 17:45, 16 July 2012 (UTC)

TALK — I work alone! Except when I work with Xion...which is all the time.

I'm not sure how Overlay commands function as a modification to the Command Matrix, but OK. I'm all for getting this mess done.
I agree, it's about time we tackled this issue. TheFifteenthMember 15:06, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

ALBOKQS.png
TheFifteenthMember Ignoring how these caterpillars uttered what they're trying to say, I do agree. TheFifteenthMember 23:38, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
Does anyone have any problems with me merging Drag 'n Drop with Sora's Heartless. Speak now or forever hold your peace.
Yeah, it's a really bad idea. Don't do it."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 00:29, 23 July 2012 (UTC)

QO5QVO1.png
TheFifteenthMember I hope it's slow and painful; the elation I get from such kills is unmatched by anything, yeeeess... Just thinking about it makes me... oohhh... TheFifteenthMember 12:26, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
In answer to Kryten's edit, I totally agree to having a page for Compiled commands. It could also cover everyone's special attacks and licenses. It's nice to know that we are getting somewhere with this thing.

In answer to Kryten's edit on the talk page, I also agree on replacing the obtained column with sell price for normal commands.

Obtained column[edit]

Can we do something useful with this? It's not comprehensive and barely informative, so I don't see the point in having it. TheFifteenthMember 20:02, 4 September 2015 (UTC)

Is it better to make it comphrehensive, replace it, or get rid of it? --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 16:16, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
Maybe we can replace it with a Buy/Sell column, although the Sell price may vary a lot based on the level and C/R/CR bonus of the Command, so maybe just a "Buy" column? TheSilentHero 18:25, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
Buy Sell should be in the Moogle Shop article, and would have a formula behind it. How difficult would it be to make the lists comprehensive? What's the most extensive cell we would have to deal with?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 20:56, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
Considering the many sources of commands in Re:coded (shops, treasure blox, enemy drops, world scorecard, questploration, etc.), going comprehensive may not be practical. Keep in mind, we didn't go practical for Deck Command (KHBBS). --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 22:55, 8 September 2015 (UTC)
I don't think it's worth squeezing a ton of information into one column. If we need to fill up empty space in the table, a "Buy" column could be okay or we can consider adding reload times. TheFifteenthMember 17:35, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
If we can't be comprehensive, then it's fine to axe the column entirely. There's no need to put in a filler column to preserve the width or anything."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 20:16, 9 September 2015 (UTC)
