It said that if one person got a copyright strike, they will be thrown in prison for five years. This also includes walkthroughs. Fortunetly, it only applies to the United States, but it might spread across the world. Some people say it will end YouTube. This is serious, guys. Already are many people living on the streets; this will only make things worse. It's Wikia all over again. If you don't beleave me, click here and here.

Our congress has been doing little because of partisan disagreement, so this will take a while to even get moderatly debated. Far too many people are against it. There is already a FireFox plugin that would allow you to bypass a DNS block. It would destroy the very foundations of the internet, so businesses probably wouldn't comply. Google is against it, and that is an epically large problem for those trying to pass it. You can't be imprisoned for not knowing a copyright law... getting a video removed from YouTube unknowingly wouldn't land you in jail. I don't get the Wikia comparison. FunnyJunk is not a newsource. The purpose of this bill would be to prevent piracy... and if that jeopardizes a simple walkthrough, then the bill needs to be completely rewritten. I don't get how people will lose their homes because of this. If it happened in America, all American content that you claim would be removed would be removed internationally, so the threat to the internet wouldn't be this idea spreading, but just half of the content being destroyed. And it would be in violation of human rights, so the Supreme Court could easily overturn it.

I'm an Australian with relitives in Spain, Mexico and the United States, so I won't be as affected, but Spyro the Dragon, Ratchet & Clank and Crash Bandicoot come from the US (compare to Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy, which come from Japan). So, around half of my videos have American content, which makes me worried. Please hope this will not pass...

TALK - ...even if this bill did half the things you're claiming it did, there's no way it would ever destroy your life. The government simply doesn't have time to waste perusing the internet for walkthroughs, which are NOT considered pirated content (so long as you've added something to the video, like a voiceover).

LightRoxas "Lead me into everlasting darkness!" Yeah, I wouldn't count on this ever going through, the government has more than enough crap to worry about. Videos on the Internet are far from worth their time.
