Veneration is a pair of Ethereal Blades that can be wielded by Xemnas in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. It can be upgraded to Veneration+ and Veneration++.

Design

Veneration is shaped like a question mark, with the tip of the blade coming to a sharp hook and curling inward so much that it nearly touches the base of the blade. The outer side of the blade is lined by several spikes shaped like those of the Nobody emblem. This type of Ethereal Blade has a blue glow. Like Sanction and Overlord, it releases blue sparks and lines when it strikes its target.

"Veneration" is an expression of awe or reverence.

Gameplay

Veneration's ground combo is identical to that of Overlord; it consists of a single left-to-right slash and an upward slash into the air. This is followed by two quick knockback slashes, one from left to right, and one from right to left. From here, the combo transitions directly into the aerial combo.

Veneration's aerial combo consists of a mid-range, double-spin slash, a short-range upwards slash, two mid-range forward slashes, and two consecutive wide-range spinning knockback slashes.

While Veneration+ has the same ground and aerial combos as Veneration, Veneration++ adds a second slash from left to right in its ground combo before the upward slash. The aerial combo is unchanged.
