You were the one who chose to begin an article with what you blatantly knew was a made-up name, in spite of being warned at least three times on your own talk page not to put speculation in articles like that, not to mention on other article talk pages. Besides, that "just a name" turns up in other places, like search engines, making it easier for outside users to find and misinterpret. Technically, it should have been deleted based on that, but your source is fairly reliable, the article was decently written, and I felt it would be a waste to delete it, so it was moved instead.
I know you have made a lot of effort in trying to help us out, and you have improved quite a bit. I also know you are excited about the game coming out; trust me, we all are. But trying to get the jump on other editors with information by posting a fake name because you are not sure what to call an article is not the right step to take. In the future, please ask if you are not sure. It may take us a while to answer, but we will. I don't want to lose an editor who is eager to offer help and have shown they can do good work, and I know there are others here that feel the same way. BebopKate 06:47, December 20, 2009 (UTC)

Beside how should I know that Sia is a fake name I just found the name in one of KH website and got excited about creating an article about character. Beside the site I've been to are very reliable. That's the problem with the internet sometimes, isn't it? Lots of good information and then one little mis-informative bit in the middle. Since this was a misunderstanding, I'll revoke the warning. We certainly don't expect you to be perfect; goodness knows we're not (see the post below for an example in my case ^_-). But again, please feel free to ask questions; we want to see everyone improve as an editor and be part of our community here, and therefore we certainly don't mind them. I've looked over the mission articles you've been writing, and I must say that you're doing a wonderful job on them. I need to myself back to work on those so you don't get stuck with another forty or more mission articles to write. However, I do want to remind you that a possessive term ending in /s/ only needs to have "s'" if the term is plural. I saw several "Roxas'", and I die a little bit every time I see one of those. So, for the sake of my life and the English language, please be sure to use "s's" on all singular terms ending in /s/. Thanks!

Thanks for the help; I don't mind writing them, really. It's something to help out. It would be wonderful if you could help me with all the little details that I miss, filling in the charts, or clarifying anything that seems foggy in the walkthroughs; just because it makes sense to me doesn't mean it makes sense to everyone, so I always appreciate input on that.
Sorry about the "s'". As I've explained before, I was brought up to use that method for possessives, since that's also perfectly acceptable grammar. It's just hard to break a habit of decades, you know, especially when you're just trying to get the information down in the first place. Please don't die over the missing /s/! ^_^

I've read/skimmed several of your mission articles, and they are very well done. I can understand them, and your little bits of humor and creative linking fit in with the topic. Oh, but be sure to put a space after an ellipsis, and to use four when ending a sentence. I'm fairly certain that's the rule with an ellipsis. Altogether, great job so far!

Gah, ellipsis! My greatest nemesis! No, seriously, the rules on those things change like every few years, it seems. I wouldn't even touch them as an elementary school teacher, so complicated are they. I don't think we were even allowed to use them in grad school; they preferred em-dashes instead. Then again, we followed APA style and formatting, and not MLA, which most everyone else uses.
Seems like the generally accepted format is a space before and after, according to the Great Wiki Master. Doesn't say anything about ending sentences with them, though ... hmmm. (<---See, I remembered!)

I see; well, since the use of an ellipsis isn't very professional (not that a Wiki can be consider "money-making," though), I would rather just use em dashes. I always thought those we just called dashes, and a "-" was a hyphen. Guess I was wrong then.
And on a less important note, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days wasn't nominated for anything in GameSpot's Best Games of 2009 Awards! I'm ... somewhat surprised. (<--- I too remembered!)

On the subject of warnings, admins, mods and highly frequent users can distribute warnings to other users if they go overboard. So she's not the only one, I can. 'Ello! :D While I won't deny the fact that I'm a complete asshole around here, I do tend to make constructive edits around the site if I say so myself; check my history. :3 That said, I'd like to report users NinjaSheik and Maggosh for Wikimisconduct. They've been generally harassing me (especially Sheik, to whom I turned a blind eye to), and even went through the trouble of duplicating my username on some weird site under the guise of me insulting Maggosh, or something like that. You don't have to ban them or anything..., but a good spanking should suffice, to teach them not to undertake such pedestrian methods to get someone in trouble. That said, if you feel like giving me the boot for being a douche here...I could care less. I just don't wanna go down for something I didn't do. P.S. If they happen to post under here...then it only proves their lack of innocence via persistence, and all that good jazz. :) Arrivederci!
I offered the idea to Kryten to do an IP log on both sites (as in request the IP of the "NeutraVega" on that site), and do a match. Wikis in general block proxy accounts, and I highly doubt whoever made that used one themselves, so I'm confident the truth will come out soon.

As the issue appears to be resolved for the moment, it's the holidays, and I am just too tired and annoyed by other things going on to put any energy or deep thought into this, I'm considering this closed for the moment, though frankly the other admins wouldn't be remiss if they chose to react differently. I will be keeping an eye on those involved over the next few days to make sure this doesn't restart itself, and if I see this or any other similar events resume or start, there will be warnings and bans handed out to the parties involved. Etymology has its own section on character pages, if I recall. Trivia is evil and should be avoided if possible. If you have any "trivia", it's generally best worked into other areas of the article.

Butting in, but not all "trivia" should be avoided or worked into other parts of an article. Some bits of trivia simply do not fit in to any section of an article. For example, here is one of the pieces of trivia from Sora:
"There is a clear reference to Sora in Final Fantasy 20th Anniversary Edition for the PSP; a child in the randomized dungeon Whisperwind Cove says 'I've been having these weird thoughts lately... like... how did I get to this place!?'."
This doesn't fit into any part of Sora's article, so it must go into the Trivia section. In most cases, however, trivia should be worked into an article, to prevent the Trivia section from having over seven "trivia". Only the most diverse "trivia" should be placed in the section with no intention of having them moved into another section, such as this example from Sora's article.

Actually, to me, that says we'd need a new section, such as "Other Appearances", if we have enough trivia of that nature.
Don't get me wrong, trivia can be quite fun, and yes, there will be a few bits and pieces that don't seem to fit anywhere, but honestly, trivia sections are pretty sloppy writing. It's sort of like saying, "Hey, we have some info, but we don't think it's important enough to be in the main sections. We'll just chuck it all here at the end." If you look hard enough, most trivia should fit into existing parts of the article, and if it doesn't, then it should be considered if it's really worth keeping around. Not trying to rewrite the Manual of Style or anything, nor am I going to be a jerk about it, but I'm just putting across my point of view after doing lots of heavy duty writing in college and graduate school.

I very much agree with you, an out-of-place trivia should have its worth questioned. But that the problem with some articles is that their trivia is so diverse it has no place to go without looking orphaned or like a section stub. Like with that Sora trivia bit, there are no other trivia bits that would join it in an "Other Appearances" section.

Please see User:EternalNothingnessXIII/Project BBS. Any support on your part would be much appreciated. Xiggie, TNE, and a few other users including myself have been working on our BBS remodel. This also would effect administrative templates, which DTN and Yermom aren't happy about, but I, along with several other so-called "lessers" feel otherwise. Let me know what you think. I believe it's because DTN feels "Fan-made images are not good for administrative templates." Yermom basically tagged along for the ride. DTN and I have never been "keen" so it's only natural he'd disagree with me. If you come on the IRC, I can explain this in greater detail. Basically from what I have seen, he doesn't want to change them because HE was the one who remodeled them last time, hence needs to be protective/defensive and needs to rally an "army." He always does this around my suggestions. I don't wish for some dispute to start because of this message, but that's just me getting my feelings out in a polite way. Knowing him, this will probably be challenged. Merely changing quotes and images is in no way preventing us from using the templates.

I would actually be happy to explain, BebopKate. As you know, the wiki's fan art policy is one that is powerfully enforced. The only exception is if the unofficial image is used in a talk template. The images used in these remodeled administrative templates are not official, they are the renders of various Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep characters put over a colored background found in a sprite from Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. This certainly doesn't do our fan art policy any justice, since it gotes completely direct it. Our fan art policy will hardly stay a policy if we allow for any further exceptions such as this. The final product will also not be as good as what we have now, in my opinion, since the images were not created by Square-Enix. Another issue I remember from the forum post was that there are very few main characters from Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep that will have a variety of appropriate quotes, yet there are very many administrative and maintenance templates. The users who agreed on this matter were myself, HeartOfOblivion, Yer mom, and Xiggie. You can view our provided reasoning here.
Also, ENX, 1000 people's opinions? The only opinion that I've observed to remodel the templates has been from you. Perhaps you could provide us sources from the other users who also want the templates remodeled?
And as much as I don't like drama, I'm dispelling this right now. ENX, I have nothing against your as an editor, or as a person. Our opinions merely differ, as will everyone's on the wiki. However, I find that your assumptions are very offensive to me. I don’t care who remodeled the templates last time, or now. I would be telling anyone else the same thing, whether it be Xiggie, Troisnyxetienne, KrytenKoro, Xion4ever, ZACH, or any user. I don't think it matters if I remodeled the templates last time; that means nothing to me. I am not protective of the work I have done on them, I'm just doing what is best for the wiki, and what best respects the wiki's fan art policy. And what army, ENX; Do you see any user other than myself here arguing with you? And what are you talking about, "preventing us from using the templates?" A template can be used no matter what it looks like, what image it contains, what color it is, or what quote it uses.

The preventing from using was my question, actually, DTN. Didn't know if you guys had come up with some crazy new coding regarding them or something. But I can see that's not the issue anyway, so pressing on...
Fan art is fan art, and as much as Xiggie's cleaned up the stuff, I'd rather wait and see what Square has in store for us in terms of more official work. We should focus more about the front page in terms of the theme for the time being.
But, I feel the need to say I'm actually getting a bit concerned we're getting carried away with the template issue as a whole. My two cents are that I think we need to remain simple and more consistent with those, as much fun as they are to make and look at. Goodness knows I've made a few. But as Kryten has pointed out in the Forums, we have so many templates now that they're getting a bit unwieldy when we have to deal with more than one on a page. Plus, there are some we don't even use much, if ever. Maybe we need to work on making a more "permanent" set of them. Just a thought.

Ahh, I see. Nope, we haven't developed any crazing new coding, we usually leave that to good ol' ILHI.
I agree about the templates, desipte my last message. Just trying to keep the fan art policy in check, I apologize if I sounded offensive to any party. However, would it be better to finalize the current templates as permanent, or go with the combination template that KrytenKoro has developed?

I think having both is fine; sometimes, you only need one. But I like having the combo around as well.
Let's wait until after the whole BBS-theme/New Year to worry about more permanent templates. That should really be a wiki decision, anyway.

Hey there Kate, I've been posting some videos to the mission articles. One of those missions is this one; I've added the videos to missions 12 and 13. Are these videos okay to use? They do include the cutscenes before and after the mission. I've looked around YouTube but haven't been able to find any videos that just have the mission (especially in good quality)..Thanks!

Maybe this conversation has been held before, I cannot remember >> As of late, err... since the dawn of this wiki's time, image names have been all over the place. I remember at one point, images (cards I believe they were) were being deleted and re-uploaded to standardize the names of them. Should we do this with all Heartless, Nobody, Unversed, what have you, images? I'm thinking of something like:
<Enemy name>-<game>.<extension>
"Enemy name" and "extension" being replaced with the obvious and "game" being: khi, khii, khcom, khdays etc. This will be a huge project, but since I'm not currently committed to any project in particular ._. , I'm sure I can do it. What say you lady admin?

If you wouldn't mind seeing here and give feedback, that'd be much appreciated. Just a way to jazz up the categories or some other thing that I got an idea from the Cirque du Freak Wiki. I had brought it up before, to no avail. Rather than the links, I think we could just paste the code for a template we'd create onto the category page, right? I'm not too sure. We'd have to contact the Wiki to get it right. I have no clue if that made any sense to you :P
Just an idea. If not the categories, perhaps we could implement it into the lists of Heartless/Nobodies/Characters on their respected pages some how...

Ah, I see what it does. That's a good idea, but we have so many characters it might make it tough to navigate. It might be great for things like Keyblades, or as you said, creature types.
Have you put it in the regular forums for other ideas on how we could use it? It's probably worth examining...

Reason for wasting an hour of my morning was because Joint Struggle hosts a VERY incomplete/inaccurate Mirage Arena WORLD Infobox... We had decided not to make an article for Mirage Arena as there's not any information on it, but they out-of-place world infobox makes the suggestion that this is what must be done. It doesn't make sense to have a world infobox on a MULTIPLAYER article, especially when it's filled with kinks.

Does a BBS spoiler template exist yet? If so, I didn't find colors in an apparent rough draft "accurate." I'll need to edit those :P
I honestly can't wait for BBS to come out on Saturday. Of course I have to be in Boston on the release date >_< But when I get home on Sunday, it's back to rotting in front of YouTube watching the Japanese version and getting a headache because of it until the English release.

Yes, just like how Template:Spoiler 358/2 Days existed especially for Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, Template:Spoiler Birth exists especially for Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. Don't apply it yet, though, as the information released so far has just been Nomura's foreshadowing and gameplay elements.
Actually, BebopKate, I want to know what the point is in having unique spoiler templates just for Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, whereas we treat several games with just one spoiler template. Personally, I would prefer for all spoiler templates to be the same.

Having recently bought the guide for really no better reason than to help out around here [exasperated sigh], I can be very much helping with the nitty gritty details of the missions; bonus percentages, challenge mission criteria, and the like. Although, as I noticed while doing No. 49, the guide is not really very specific for walkthrough purposes, so, yeah. (And having lent out my Days to a friend, I can't go back and look myself.)
Anyway, I'm already doing some stuff here and there, though I am never sure whose toes I'm about to step on, so if you want to delegate some of the missions to me, I'd be happy to run them down, so to speak.

As I edited the Darkside article, I found several times that it was listed as a "he" or "his". Both terms are wrong. Heartless and Nobodies, as well as Unversed, are genderless, with the exception of Organization XIII. Below is an example talking about the Zip Slasher :
Enemies should also be classified as "it" and "its" in terms of possession.
YES : It uses a powerful slash attack
NO : "He uses a powerful slash attack
Organization XIII, as well as any named Heartless/Nobody with a given gender such as Xehanort's Heartless, is an exception to this rule
YES : Xemnas uses powerful slash attacks. He also wields Nothingness. OR Xehanort's Heartless is the main antagonist of Kingdom Hearts. He is dubbed the Seeker of Darkness
NO : Larxene is the only female in the Organization besides Xion. It, being a Nobody, has no heart.
Just keeping it generic, as I found this error several times. It's inevitable that this has happened/will happen in other articles, as well. If this isn't MoS-worthy, it should at least be brought to the editors' attention.

ME editing the MoS? I'm honored :P However, what do you mean by "a little reminder"? Where do I put this? Under Enemies?
EDIT : Done. Not sure I did it correctly, so check it out. Also, I find an issue with the "Use 's vs. s'". As you (and now Azul) have stated, these are both correct. I suppose s' is used more frequently with possession, as the name isn't "Xemna" or "Roxa" or "Ventu", but just because it ticks a few users off doesn't make it MoS worthy, nor does it make us liable to arguing against the MLA Handbook.
EDIT 2 : Some more things to consider as I scanned articles for common errors :
All original terms are captiolized, such as "Drive Form/Gauge" and "Organization XIII"
Characters aren't exactly "killed", rather destroyed/eliminated (I suppose that's pretty much the same thing, but...
I don't know about that last one. I just don't like seeing "killed" in the article. Nobodies and Heartless, you could say, are inanimate objects, and you don't kill a lamp. That should hold true for all enemies, lesser or a character-Heartless/Nobody. When talking about human characters (Ansem the Wise), an alternate term should be used such as "annihilated", as "killed" seems to unprofessional and dark.

Ack, somehow I missed this last time out! Your additions look just fine. I do agree that annihilated or eliminated would be better choices for words, but that's a bit nitpicky to add to the Manual; my view is if someone really doesn't like it, it will eventually get changed. The original terms thing is a good reminder. If that gets to be a problem, we can take it one step further and make a Capitalization Guide. We did that over at White Wolf for some of the game lines and it's come in handy quite a few times.
As for the plural thing, granted you shouldn't argue with the MLA, but remember not everyone uses MLA either; I had to use APA standards while I was a teacher to present professional papers and presentations, for example. Ironic we teach MLA, but we don't actually use it. ^_^

Excuse me, but judging from their edits, I suspect that thesethreeusers may be the same person. The unregistered contributor is obviously just zachdawg not signing in. But the check the edit history on Kingdom657's talk page, and you'll see that he only responded once, the following responses being made by zachdawg. I asked both about it, but only zachdawg has responded, denying that he has even heard of Kingdom657, which is clearly not true. Friday marked 2 years on drums for me ^_^ Though I didn't know how to give myself a little reward for that occasion, so it passed like any other normal day.
But apart from that, it's all good. The one thing is that no matter how unspoiled I try to keep myself, I will still be spoiled anyway, because Unbirth gets all the spoilers before me and insists on showing them to me, so I can't do much :P

Hey, I am new to Wikia, and I have been slowly getting used to this. I tried to edit Ansem, but I can't. I was trying to put on his appearance that during the part where he was murged into the World of Chaos, he is remarkably taller than when he is not merged to it. It appears that Sora, if measured from Ansem's feet, that he only comesup to Ansem's knee. If you don't mind, do you think you may be able to get someone or yourself to put it on for me. Ok, thanks. I would like to do the Dissidia ones but those are too difficult for me. Should the Avatars that were released after each coded episode should be on your page or not?

Hey, Zexion. We're not in any pressing need of administrators at the moment, but when we eventually will need them, we consider the editing jobs you've done and how you behave. If you're fairly mature and levelheaded and treat other users with respect, and a majority of your edits are good ones to the main wikispace articles, then that would put you under consideration in the future. If you have any more questions or need something clarified, let me know.
Taekwondo is fun to watch other people do, but it's too hard on my knees. More power to you! ^_^
