Ventus using Reversal in Deep Space.

Reversal is a technique that appears in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. It allows the user to quickly slide behind an enemy.

Mechanics

Reversal is a Movement command exclusive to Ventus that has a maximum level of 1. When is pressed just before a locked-on enemy strikes, Ven slides behind the enemy, allowing him to attack them from behind with Commands, physical combos, or Reversal Slash. Unlike in Kingdom Hearts II, this Reversal does not stun the enemy.

Learning Reversal

• Ventus learns Reversal after rescuing Ienzo from a horde of Unversed in Radiant Garden.
• Ventus can purchase Reversal from the Moogle Shop for 600 munny after obtaining it.

Other Appearances

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix

• No Heart is capable of using Reversal in its boss fight. In the HD 2.5 Remix, his use of Reversal is more frequent due to his increased speed and evasion, making him more lethal than the original Final Mix to make up for his lowered defense.
• The Armor of Eraqus can utilize Reversal in conjunction with Reversal Slash exclusively against Ventus during its boss fight.
