I've noticed on the BBS Keyblade pages (for Terra's, Aqua's and Ven's Keyblades) that they say that these keyblades lack a keychain. I am going to prove that that is a load of bull! and also try to get some other points out there: Terra File:Gaia Bane KHIIFM.jpg This is the Keyblade that Terra uses in the Birth by Sleep video. This is also the Keyblade that the lingering Sentiment uses in KHIIFM. It has no keychain! This is the Keyblade that Terra has been seen using in the Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep gameplay screenshots. It looks different! It has a keychain! and it seems like it is the same symbol as on his belt. Aqua File:Rain Storm KHIIFM.jpg This is the Keyblade that Aqua uses in the Birth by Sleep video. This is also the Keyblade that lies in the Chamber of Repose in KHIIFM, along with the rest of Aqua's armor. It has no keychain! This is the Keyblade that Aqua has been seen using in the Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep gameplay screenshots. It looks different! It has a keychain! and it seems like it is a drop of blue water. Ven This is the Keyblade that Ven uses in the Birth by Sleep video. it is designed to be held in reverse but it can be held the other way. It has no keychain! This is the Keyblade that Ven has been seen using in the Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep gameplay screenshots. It looks exactly the same but it has a keychain! (sometimes...) The Keychain symbol is white, and I think it looks something like two feathers, but I'm not sure... So, in conclusion; Terra uses a different Keyblade with a Keychain in BBS than he does in the BBS-Vid and in KHIIFM Aqua uses a different Keyblade with a Keychain in BBS than she does in the BBS-Vid and in KHIIFM Ven seems to use the same Keyblade, but it has a keychain in BBS (only sometimes?), but not in the BBS-Vid. Well, now you know that :P

TALK - Especially taking the Ventus thing into account, it appears that Keychains may be optional in BBS, like Gears were in Days.

Blue, not PINK !!!! — 02:41, October 30, 2009 (UTC) After seeing Aqua's keychain and seeing that Ven's is white, I think maybe their keychains refer to their name. Ven's could be a gust of wind or cyclone and Terra's might be something representing earth. Maybe the normal EXP leveling up system is tied to their Keyblade's appearance. They are training to become Keyblade masters so maybe their Keyblades change form as they grow and utilize their Keyblade to it's full potential. I don't know if this includes the keychain sometimes being there and sometimes not but who knows?

The keychain may provide an ability for Terra/Ven/Aqua if they choose to use it, or there are different ones that they can use that allow them to use different abilities/Deck Commands without acutally changing the Keyblade altogether. Like KrytenKoro said, this may work similarly to Gears in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days.
