While using Vanitas as a [[Vanitas (D-Link)|D-Link]], Ventus's Shotlock is changed to a light based version of Vanitas's Dark Cannon, called {{nihongo|'''Dark Link'''|ダークオブリンク|Dāku obu Rinku|lit. "Dark of Link"}}. Whenever Ventus uses Dark Link, Vanitas will always counter using Dark Cannon, making both opposite force clash with each other. In Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Dark Cannon allows the user to generate three orbiting crystals which focus a beam of dark energy.

Dark Cannon (ダークキャノン Dāku Kyanon?) is Vanitas's Shotlock in Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. The Vanitas Remnant can also use this Shotlock, and when Ventus uses Vanitas's D-Link, his Shotlock becomes a light version of Dark Cannon named "Dark Link".
