Template:Heartless

Crimson Jazz is an Emblem Heartless from Kingdom Hearts II.

The Crimson Jazz, the largest Heartless of its kind, it is a powerful relative to the Red Nocturne from Kingdom Hearts. Like its predecessor, it utilizes Fire magic. However, its magic is more focused on surrounding and crushing the target with explosions rather than shooting flames. Crimson Jazz attacks with orbs of fire that follow Sora until they explode.

Abilities

  • Shoots homing fireballs
  • Surrounds Sora with three large fireballs, which collide when all three are formed.
  • Swings its body back, then forward, knocking Sora into the air.

Strategy

In an open area with two or more Crimson Jazzes, Sora can be pushed up very high by the chain of the their small mines exploding. For this, Sora should use Aerial Recovery and Aerial Dodge to keep himself aloft for a while. As the bombs do not do heavy damage, this can continue without great danger to Sora, sometimes happening unintentionally. Use Reflega to end the chain as fast as possible, and Firaga (which will not hurt Crimson Jazzes allowing them to continue) to prolong it.
