A Fragmentary Passage

Zero point, also referred to as the Secret Episode (シークレットエピソード, Shīkuretto Episōdo), is a secret ending exclusive to Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix. Unlike other secret endings, Zero point is playable, much like the Final Episode, rather than simply watching from the view of a bystander.

In Zero point, Aqua is playable, the main setting being the Realm of Darkness, where Aqua fights several Pureblood Heartless while wielding Eraqus's Keyblade.

After completing the mission, a cutscene plays in which a KH1-style Sora is sleeping on the beach of Destiny Islands. Likewise, a KH1-style Kairi is seen running up to him. The movie then cuts to a gold number "1". After this, Aqua is seen walking up to a cloaked Ansem the Wise within the Dark Margin, followed by a golden "0". Suddenly, the movie cuts back to the Dark Margin scene, but begins to rapidly rewind through the contents of "Blank Points" and stops with Aqua holding her Wayfinder. The movie then cuts to black, and the golden text, "Zero Point" fades in. The movie fades in to Aqua, standing in the Realm of Darkness holding her Wayfinder, which is glowing. With a smile, she states something happily (awaiting translation from the Japanese). Aqua moves on, but then frowns and pulls out her Wayfinder, which is still glowing. Not long after this, the Realm of Darkness begins to quake. Aqua looks to the ceiling, where a portal of light forms. Suddenly, a pillar of darkness spouts from the ground and shoots up into the portal. Aqua looks at her Wayfinder to see it just as it stops glowing. The movie cuts to the number, "0.5". Aqua is again seen wandering through a forest that looks similar to the one in Castle of Dreams. Aqua looks up and gasps as she sees a castle in the distance which looks to be the Castle of Dreams itself. The text, "A Fragmentary Passage" is then shown. The movie begins to rapidly cut to different scenes. Mickey is shown in the Realm of Darkness, Riku is shown carrying Kairi on the clocktower from Neverland in KH1, and Donald and Goofy are shown wandering through Traverse Town. Kairi, Hayner, Olette, and Pence are shown in front of Twilight Town's mansion, and Kairi is shown staring at it intently. Sora is shown inside of his sleeping pod as DiZ is shown in front of him, using some sort of control device. Roxas and Xion are seen walking through Twilight Town, as a cloaked and blindfolded Riku watches them from a building above. As a climax, a young Xehanort is seen standing on Destiny Island beach with is back turned. As he begins to turn, he turns into Xehanort's Heartless, and then becomes Xemnas. An extremely short instance of Master Xehanort's face is shown, followed by an equally short instance of Sora sitting on the Paopu tree from which he vanishes suddenly. A similar scene is shown of Ven sitting on his chair in Castle Oblivion. He too, quickly vanishes. The movie ends with the text, "Birth By Sleep -Volume Two-".

Synopsis

The secret ending opens with Sora sleeping on the Destiny Islands, with Kairi approaching him to wake up, mirroring the opening to ''Kingdom Hearts''.

Clips from Blank Points are then shown in reverse order, including the scenes between Braig and Xehanort and Terra and Master Xehanort and Aqua in the Realm of Darkness.

Zero Point

Aqua is then seen walking on through the Realm of Darkness, but stops when the realm starts to shake. A circle of light appears above her, and sends a ray of darkness down to the ground. She clutches her Wayfinder to her chest.

Aqua is then transported to the world Castle of Dreams, which has been englufed in darkness. She looks in horror at the castle ahead of her.

A fragmentary passage

Mickey Mouse is then seen walking through the Realm of Darkness with the Star Seeker Keyblade, Riku is seen atop of Neverland's clock tower with Kairi in his arms, Donald Duck and Goofy are seen wandering through Traverse Town, Kairi, in her Kingdom Hearts II outfit, is seen with the Twilight Town Gang looking at the Old Mansion, and DiZ is seen in front of a sleeping Sora recording data, and Roxas and Xion are seen in Twilight Town with a blindfolded Riku looking down on them. Finally, a young Master Xehanort is seen on the Destiny Islands beach, then turning into Ansem, Seeker of Darkness, then Xemnas, then a flurry of clips showing the elder Master Xehanort. Sora is then seen sitting on the paoupu tree, but disappears. Ventus is seen in Chamber of Waking, but also disappears.
