It is available at the very beginning of the game if you decide to go through the game in Critical Mode. If you decide to use it, you can go through the whole game at Level 1. It is also the Passive ability for the [[Keyblade]], [[Winner's Proof]]. There is no ''real'' purpose for EXP Zero, it is just used to make the game even more fun and challenging.

EXP Zero is an ability only appears in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix. The ability disables Sora's experience growth for as long as it is equipped. The only way to obtain it as an independent skill is through the game's Critical Mode; it is one of several abilities gained immediately after beginning the game.

It is possible to complete the entire game at Level 1 by using this ability but this achievement is only feasibile in the ability's independent form. However, it is also the Passive ability for the Keyblade, Winner's Proof which can only be obtained through events after clearing the game for the first time. There is no real purpose for EXP Zero, but it is used to make the game even more fun and challenging to the player.
