okay this isn't entirely accurate. nobodies are as xemnas indicates beings of nothingness and the terms are not interchangable. To summerize the kingdom hearts universe has four forces Light and darkness,In-Between and Nothingness. In other words; One or the Other,Both or Neither

Why does "essence of twilight" link to the Realm of Nothingness? Shouldn't it link to The realm of In-Between/Twilight, or am I missing something?LapisLazuliScarab05:55, July 11, 2010 (UTC)

- I thought the Realm of In-Between was the plane between Light and Darkness, where worlds like Twilight Town are, and the Realm of Nothingness was where Xemnas was fought ("and if one stays in there for too long, they will cease to exist").

I really want to know what Nomura has said about the realms, since I'm pretty sure that he laid it all out, and there were only the three (light, dark, nothingness)
The Realm of the Present...The Realm of darkness. The Realm of light. And, The Realm of in-between.
-Keep in mind, this is a fan-translation. Plus, "Realm of the Present" is used to refer to the realm Hollow Bastion is in.

Towering over the outer limits of the realm between darkness and light:

This "realm between" is quite unstable, with corridors of darkness appearing from time to time. Whenever a world disappears, some of its inhabitants must arrive here through these corridors. Surely Sora traveled these same corridors of darkness when he first came to Traverse Town.
-And this, along with the previous quote, pretty much matches the In-Between Realm to Ansem's Realm of Nothingness.
Currently both the Keyblade wielders and those whose bodies have fallen to darkness can use the Corridors and travel the Realm Between.

In addition to the realm we inhabit, the Realm of Light, there is the Realm of Darkness and the realm which connects them, the Realm Between. Among them, the Realm of Darkness is forbidden ground. I hear there has yet to be anyone to return from that realm.

As a boy, I dreamt of the boundary of this realm. A realm no one had yet reached. A realm no one had even seen. The new realm that is created by opening the doors to Kingdom Hearts, the complete realm in which Light and Dark are in equal balance.
-And this seems to say that the "thing" at the end of KHII was just that Realm Between again.
I mean, if we get official names (especially in nihongo) that's good, but we do have to remember that Nomura trumps Ansem, as Ansem is characteristically an unreliable narrator.
