I noticed that Ventus and Terra's Mode Change level 2 are like their latin name's meaning. Maybe Aqua's Magic Hour's upgrade might be related to water. --Cococrash11 06:17, December 18, 2009 (UTC)Cococrash11

Well, it's been revealed by the game itself that the proper term for this gameplay mechanic is "Command Style" and "Style Change." We should probably fix it up soon.

Wayfinder is not a Style Change[edit]

We kind of knew the color coding for Situation Commands a while back, but it's nice for KH3's tutorials to clear it up. The color of the gauge determines what kind of command it is: Orange is for Formchanges and Style Changes, Green is for Team Attacks, Blue is for Attractions, and no gauge is for context commands. Wayfinder's gauge is green, ergo Team Attack. --Samoa Joe (talk) 16:26, 30 January 2019 (UTC)

    • Oh, and duh lol. Purple for grand magic. --Samoa Joe (talk) 17:50, 30 January 2019 (UTC)

As Eternal has specified, the term Team Attacks was never present in 0.2, so it can't be used to describe Wayfinder. All the same, Wayfinder is still not a Style Change. It's never identified in-game or in official materials as such. The tutorials clearly specify that a Style Change occurs when you fill the meter with physical attacks. The situation command for Wayfinder shows up completely randomly, regardless of how full the meter is or what you are doing. It's very clearly still a Team Attack - the simple fact that 0.2 uses the same gameplay mechanics as III reinforces that, so I still advocate calling it that. However, the final call is up to the mods and admins. As it stands, it's just a Situation Command/general technique for now. --Samoa Joe (talk) 21:47, 4 February 2019 (UTC)

I think there's a way to check if Wayfinder is considered a Style Change or not. One of the Wardrobe objectives is "Use a Style Change to defeat 50 Heartless". If someone can get through the game without using Spellweaver, get to the point where you can use Wayfinder, and use it to defeat at least 50 Heartless, the objective should be cleared if it's a Style Change.
