Talk:Kingdom Hearts IV
we hear Hades' japanese voice in the trailer, so Olympus and the Underworld will be in KHIV, as well as Hades himself. not to mention that Yu Shimaka is heard. meaning that the trailer was the last time he did Goofy's voice. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.198.91.117 (talk • contribs)
New game worlds[edit]
I hope the following worlds appear in the game.
- Encanto (Encanto) - where the enemy targets the Madrigals' powerful magic by making them doubt themselves and each other. The miracle candle gives them special powers and also protects their world, and the enemy makes the Madrigals doubt each other to destroy it. What they don't know is, it will be reborn as a doorknob.
- World of Oceans (Moana) - Sora and his friends meet Moana, Maoui and their friends and help them find Te Fiti. Moana will be one of the New Seven Hearts.
- Rosas (Wish) - while I know the movie hasn't been the most popular, I hope it appears somewhere. I can already picture Sora helping Asha and her friends save the kingdom and Magnifico claiming power over Heartless for his own benefit. Asha may be one of the New Seven Hearts.
- New Orleans (The Princess and the Frog) - Sora meets Tiana and Naveen, whom have been turned into frogs and protects them from Heartless as they venture to find the only shaman who might be able to change them back. Tiana will be one of the New Seven Hearts.
- Ant Kingdom (A Bug's Life) - Sora and his friends turn into insects and meet Flik. They try to help Flik's kingdom fight against the Grasshopper army and Heartless.
- Riley's heart (Inside Out) - to understand the heart better, Sora and his friends get sent into a girl's heart where they meet two of her Emotions, Joy and Sadness, whom have been stranded on Long Term Memory and must make their way back to Headquarters where the other Emotions are.

Let's talk about leaks[edit]
I want to talk a bit about what we do with leaks, since I can see this being reverted back and forth if we don't hash it out. Here's what we've done in the past:
- For games that are released, we do historically cover leaks in the development section, like Jiminy's VA leaking Re:coded's existence.
- For products that were canceled, like the TV pilot or KH Online, we rely on leaks to fill out the details.
- For games that are upcoming, it's mixed.
- The big KH3 leak was covered as it happened, but there was an official statement from Nomura about it.
- The Melody of Memory logo leak was not covered until after the game released.
- The Missing-Link beta leaks (the first wave, prior to cancellation) were not covered, but also, no beta information was.
Our various options, from most restrictive to least:
- Cover no leaks, ever.
- Cover no leaks until the game is released (or cancelled), then it's part of the development history (but still only if the leaks are noteworthy).
- Cover leaks as they happen, omitting direct links and details, but only if there is an official response from Square Enix/Nomura.
- Cover leaks as they happen, omitting direct links and details.
- Cover leaks as they happen in full detail.
I'd say that Option 1 is pointless, since there are cases where leaks are an important part of the development timeline, and after a few years it's just a fun piece of historical trivia. Option 5 is also out of the picture, since we don't even allow information explicitly shown in trailers without official statements, so including details from leaks runs contrary to our other unreleased games policies.
Which means the question boils down to whether we cover it now (being more accurate, but we risk promulgating the existence of ill-gotten info) or cover it some time after the game comes out (when there's no potential harm, but we also have a conspicuously out-of-date page for a year). —Aid1043 01:24, September 10, 2026 (UTC)
I'll say this as person who don't care about the leak contents, but only is involved in this whole thing because its actually a creditable leak. This isn't some random 4chan poster or guy on x saying "my uncle work at SE", this is a leak from a legitimate source of content. And because it, it may or maybe not affect the game's future media revealed. I am not saying/promoting the wiki should be writing down every single leak details in full, but should only be acknowledging that a leak happened, writing whatever is neutral enough to not spoil any content.
Only writing down details that is published by SE makes the wiki seems as a mouth piece and not as a independent source noting down details.
The idea of not noting it down because "OUt OF resPECt FoR sqUarE eNIx" is extremely asinine and ignorant because its not "official" revealed is irrelevant. If that is the base, then this wiki needs to removed all datamined, removed content, and any notes of never revealed information since its the exact same argument. - Oh, I should probably put my own opinion down, having made the post. It feels most natural to handle it like the KH3 leak: say "this official business partner of Square Enix had a big leak of KH4 info through the achievement list" and leave it at that. After the game releases, we could put more detail ("it leaked the playable characters"/"it leaked the world list"/whatever it was that actually happened), but we're super narrow on covering unreleased game details just in general.
- Where I personally draw the line is that I think wherever we link in the citation should only be a report on the leak, not something with the actual contents. Documenting that the event happened is one thing, but I'd feel icky aobut actively spreading it, as long as it's reasonably avoidable. (For context, I'm coming at this without having seen the leak contents – on my end, I'm more concerned about spoilers than anything else, so I don't know the full extent of what's going around.) —Aid1043 05:23, September 10, 2026 (UTC)
- I think option 3 might be the best. If Nomura or any other developer responds to the leak, we can cover that (response + cause, not the leak itself). And I do think we should do this partially out of respect to Square Enix, or at least the people working on KH4. (Regarding the removed content, that was all gathered after the official game had been released.) It's not that it hasn't officially been released, it's more that they didn't get the chance yet to release information officially. We're still a year from release, I'm sure they planned to reveal things piece by piece. I feel like mentioning the leaks (without any comments from staff) would be promoting it, especially if sources also link to the leaks, and I'd rather not do that. - I support this. I feel there's a difference in referring to a leak as part of the development history after the game has come out, versus mentioning a leak for a game that's yet to come out. That said, I'm not wholly against mentioning it, but I'm against the Wiki giving easy access to said leaks. - Joseph Thorn Dalton XCV

- I think there were multiple leaks for KH3, didn't a beta build with Monstropolis leak as well before that world was announced? I think these leaks are not super important for us except when they differ from the final version of the game so it's either option 2 or 3 for me. That being said I had the intention of filling the Missing Link page with details from the beta that are documented out there and here as well. But of course there is also stuff that wasn't officially part of the beta tests like the leaked intro cinematic and some more details hidden in the game files of that beta test. So what are our options here? --ShardofTruth 18:56, September 10, 2026 (UTC)
