Guardian Soul Talk. — Don't I even warrant a hello?

It's such a shame. The Organization used to be the rope that bound us together. - {{{time}}}

Keyblade-Blk.png Shouldn't we make the title of the article just Mulan instead of Fa Mulan? I mean, I know Fa is part of her real name, but in Kingdom Hearts they just refer to her as Mulan.

How is she a princess??? I know she gets together with Shang, but he's a general, and isn't related to the Emperor at all...

Talk_Bubble_Legend_zpsa9c4698c.png She's not a princess. Just part of a rich family. Are you referring to the Trivia that points out she and Ariel are the only non Princess of heart Princesses?

Yeah, that's where I got this reference.

Origin[edit]

Strange. Why does the article say that it needs an Origin Section when it already has one? (Bananaphone1996 02:33, April 14, 2010 (UTC))

Fa Mulan[edit]

Should this page be moved to Fa Mulan? - JTD95 (talk) 18:23, 7 August 2012 (UTC)

Where is that name used within the canon materials?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 18:36, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
According the top of the talk page, it's said that Kingdom Hearts just referred to as Mulan.--NinjaSheik 18:46, 7 August 2012 (UTC)

I think we should go with whatever the journal says. TheFifteenthMember 19:50, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
Jane is suggested to be moved to Jane Porter, and she isn't even directly referred to as Jane Porter. - JTD95 (talk) 20:03, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
I believe "Jane Porter" is in the journal or script (Ms. Porter possibly), somewhere. I'll check again tonight. If it's not used, though, why do we have katakana for it?
If the script calls her "Fa Mulan", then that's her name. The journal is not "more official" than the games themselves, and whatever officially published info we have, that's what we should use."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 20:16, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
You were correct about Jane. She is referred to as Miss Porter by Clayton early in this cutscene: www.youtube.com/watch?v=i1Et6WAfSSA - JTD95 (talk) 20:19, 7 August 2012 (UTC)

I suggested out once, but we should consider having the article titles (and links) as the journal name, but use the full (game-confirmed) name in the leads and infoboxes. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 21:48, 7 August 2012 (UTC)

The problem with that is the Journal does stuff like "Broom", "Ansem", "Flynn", "Jack", "The King", etc. For in-text links, I don't think we should have any set rule one way or the other (as long as it's clear who the text is talking about), but the journal is both inconsistent across games and annoyingly vague in many cases. We could still have redirects and disambigs for whichever names the journal uses, but using the full given name heads off possible disambiguations and keeps us from having to reevaluate article titles (as often) when the next game comes out, while sticking to whatever the Journal gives us makes the wiki more like the Journal, and I guess makes it easier to use the journal-given name within in-text linking without requiring a piped link (although the counter is true that typing the full name would require piped linking)."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 22:28, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
That's fair. I guess it's the "our own judgment" option then. Yay! --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 22:46, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
By the way, Mulan's journal entry as Ping also gives her full neme as Fa Mulan. And about Jane, I'm quite sure her journal is even titled 'Jane Porter'.--77.253.137.119 10:26, 17 September 2013 (UTC)
