Forum:Inter-Wiki image sharing rules[edit]

I'm mainly posting this here until we incorporate it somewhere. Truth be told, we should probably update/rewrite this page. Either way. In short:

  • "All official material that is released by SquareEnix (renders, artworks) in any form (homepages, press material like magazine scans, guides, artbooks) can be shared between the wikis, even if it's cropped, brightend, streched or somehow otherwise edited by the users of this wiki or the other. It's always nice to give credit, so if you take an image from the other wiki or from a website or blog for example, mention the original uploader/source in the summary.
  • All images that are directly made by the users of the different wikis (screenshots, gif animations, movies, extracted textures, custom model stances) are not to be uploaded without the permission of the respective creator and will be deleted or reverted otherwise." Question: What's our policy on naming screenshots? I've seen some named with numbers to help identify the scene, then I've seen some named as whatever related relevant name. Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.pngKeybladeSpyMaster Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png 20:46, 14 June 2017 (UTC)

cutscene name, chronological ID (first image from that scene, etc.), game ID. If not a cutscene or no name available, use world name."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 21:03, 14 June 2017 (UTC)

So, suggesting to update this page with this and delete "KHWiki:Image Policy" (as it's merged into the draft I wrote). Thoughts? Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.pngKeybladeSpyMaster Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png 06:11, 22 December 2017 (UTC)

Go for it, but please remove the image size and dimension restrictions since we have images here that definitely are bigger. --ShardofTruth 13:59, 22 December 2017 (UTC)
Looks good to me. I'm archiving the page's talkpage over here- just to have. Xion4ever 14:40, 22 December 2017 (UTC)
