Not sure if this is the right place, but I've been having freezing issues with KHII on my PS2. It started in World of Dragons and I bought a new disc. It was not fixed so I bought a new PS2 and had no problems. Now it started again right before the Barbossa fight in Port Royal. Both times the issues started after accidentally leaving the system on over night, so I will try to just not play it for a few days, but I've played Re:Chain of Memories in the interim of waiting for new game/PS2 to arrive in the mail with no similar issues. I'm thinking there may be a data issue. Should I change memory cards or should I (even can I?) contact someone for help?

Well, I once had problems with my copy of KHII, as well. Sometimes, the opening song didn't play properly, and it often froze. Several times, the field music even stopped (though this only happened to me in two worlds) I had to replace my version as well. One more question: is your copy a second hand or new?

I am very sure. The freezes occur in the cutscenes (for example, when Donald fights one of the soldiers in Land of Dragons right after meeting Mulan he stops in mid swing) I would wait for a while, but after about 2-3 minutes nothing happens. If I pause and select "skip event" I get a blank screen for several minutes. No one has played it but me. No new memory card with the PS2. I see. This is a very interesting case we've got here, especially if the second copy is new. Have you tried doing a new game rather than load the current version? Maybe it's corrupted. UxieLover1994 09:40, 21 July 2013 (UTC)
Unfortunately I tried that today. It froze up again, right after the opening song and Sora's first memories. I had a white screen for nearly 5 minutes. Not sure what else to do.
