#I don't mind, either way works for me. EDIT: Oh, I misunderstood what you meant for point 1. I think it should have additional location information only if there is another in the same location. Sorry.  {{User:TheFifteenthMember/Sig1}} 15:59, 4 June 2013 (UTC)

Feedback:

  • Special portals: Needs to have parameters for Point Prize (which is the amount of DP you get from it), Other Prize ( which is just the normal prize so we may want to go against the game and name it Normal Prize or something) and Bonus Prize.
  • Friend portals: I think all it needs is a list of possible Dream Eaters that can be an ally since the Portal gives you three random ones from that list.
  • Battle portals: Maybe the difficulty range in the world and what enemies can appear, unless it depends on your level. TheFifteenthMember 16:05, 20 May 2013 (UTC)
In the Battle Portals we could include a list of posssible Bonus and Other Prizes, what do you think? We would need to beat lots of portals to get that list, if it is not available anywhere. Ah, how it would be good if I had Ultimania and/or Bradygames... - MateusinhoEX 17:16, 20 May 2013 (UTC)
I have the Bradygames guide and it lists the battle rank, DP awarded, possible clear prizes, bonus condition, bonus prizes and rare enemies, so I can help you if you want. It doesn't say which dream eaters appear, so I can't help you with that. EDIT: I made an example of your template here using the Bradygames guide. I noticed a few problems: 1.The images change the size of the infobox. 2. Some portals have 2 (or more) rare dream eaters. TheSilentHero (talk) 09:27, 21 May 2013 (UTC)

Thanks, SilentHero, it helped a lot. I will improve those stats. the problem with the images is because I forgot to make the names as links and to put them below the images. I will fix that. For enemies, I want to mean the number of enemies that appear in the Portal, not exactly which enemies. - MateusinhoEX 16:58, 21 May 2013 (UTC)

Okay, it's a little better now. maybe I should remove that Forescast Description parameter and put that description, extremely necessary for identification of the portal in the Forecast Screen, below the image, just like a description of an item or Drive Form. Also, we need to find the images of the difficulty ranks, I mean, images of those stars, so I will make a switch template. It's much more beautier than numbers. - MateusinhoEX 18:21, 21 May 2013 (UTC)

Some notes: for the difficulty rank, perhaps we can show it using stars like in the game instead of a plain number. We'll need to upload the images though. Also under the Point Prize, can you add a permanent DP at the end or a droplet symbol? Either way works fine. Thanks! TheFifteenthMember 21:37, 21 May 2013 (UTC)

Haha, we think the same way FM. I will surely do both things, but still don't have neither images, nor the stars, nor the Droplets. For now, I can use the stars on the Item Infobox and put DP instead of the Droplet symbol. I am also thinking of two things:
  1. Perharps, another color scheme. Maybe a Black and other color, that one being the color shown in the display card of the respective portal type. For example, Special Portals would be Black and DarkRed, Battle Portals Black and Blue and Friendship Portals Black and Pink.
  2. Changing the order in which the info is displayed. Move the "Bonus Objective" and "Battle Rank" parameters to below "Location" and moving the Prizes down, also removing the enemies parameter, that I think is not relevant.

I don't know if the info in the Bradygames guide is correct. I'm playing DDD now and I was playing as Riku in Traverse Town. The forecast showed the Kooma Panda rare nightmare, but the portal with Kooma Panda in the BG Guide wasn't there. I did find a Friend Portal, which was on Sora's Side in BG and a Battle Portal, which was on the right place on the right side, but it gave me a different Bonus Prize. Maybe we should find a different source for the information. TheSilentHero (talk) 12:19, 28 May 2013 (UTC)

Wait, there is something wrong here. Look at the template test you made. There aren't any Special Portals with Kooma Panda for Riku, except the one with Flowbermeow. Have you tried to look for that one? - MateusinhoEX 13:46, 28 May 2013 (UTC)
That was the one I meant. Riku doesn't have any other Special Portals with Kooma Panda, so it must be either a Special Portal not listed by BG or one of Sora. EDIT: While looking at the Walkthrough section for Riku, BG made a small box for the Battle Portal described above, with the correct reward. They also mention a few portals in the walkthrough of Traverse Town, but not in any other world. Maybe the game changed the portals in the first visit to Traverse Town. 710MS.png I'm also playing DDD, and I know a lot of Battle Portal objects and locations (especially for The Grid). Should they also be included in the Game: pages?
So, there's the point. We are making an infobox for Portals, all types. But I don't know exactly what should be on the Friendship and Battle Portals infoboxes. A draft for Special and Secret Portals can be found here. What do you know, more exactly? Like, the prizes Battle Portals could give in a determined world, names it could have and locations it could appear? - MateusinhoEX 19:51, 28 May 2013 (UTC)
Locations, Dream Eaters and what to do for the bonus prize, mostly. Names are completely random. UxieLover1994 20:24, 28 May 2013 (UTC)
There should probably be a list of all possible names on the Link Portal page. TheFifteenthMember 20:43, 28 May 2013 (UTC)

480MS.png All possible names, eh? I already know who they are. Spent all of August 2012 tracking them down, along with KK and Erry.

This list is only small right now, but to help you out, I'll be working on a forum dedicated to the portals. I'll let SilentHero know so he'll help out, and get this data faster. Just note that I only know the portal locations for The Grid by heart.

Thanks, Uxie, those infos will help a lot. About "Star Ranking", it's called Difficulty (Battle Rank, in the Japanese version) and I will ask Shard if he can make images of the stars using one screenshot form the trailers with one star I have here. I will add those links to my Database, for easy access. I will start a draft for them once I have taken alook at all the info. Also, which color is the touch screen sign for Secret Portals? Because I am thinking of making the infoboxes of those respective colors, for example Battle Portals = Blue, Friendship = Pink, Special = Red, Secret =???. Thanks for all your help, guys!! - MateusinhoEX - 13:50, 29 may 2013 (UTC)
You're welcome, MateusinhoEX. Oh, and about the Secret Portals, they're black. UxieLover1994 14:00, 29 May 2013 (UTC)
And don't forget that Riku does not have a Secret Portal in Symphony of Sorcery, and there is none in The World That Never Was, so you might want to take a good look at that. UxieLover1994 14:23, 29 May 2013 (UTC)
And The World That Never Was only has three Special Portals. TheSilentHero (talk) 14:27, 29 May 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for remembering, I was almost forgetting to add if tags, to do not show those types of Portals if they aren't used. Thanks for all the help!! - MateusinhoEX - 14:34, 29 may 2013 (UTC)

The template's looking good. I just have two things to say: 1) For the friend portals, instead of writing 'Sprit List' we can write 'Possible Spirits' or 'List of Possible Spirits' or something along those lines. 2) For the other portals, can all three prizes be the same width, cos the Bonus Prize takes up most the space so it looks a little awkward. TheFifteenthMember 15:26, 29 May 2013 (UTC)

I agree. I can think of two solutions to that. 1) - The last parameter always adjust with the size of the image, so, the last one will always expand to mantain the shape of the infobox. So, we have to change the Bonus Prize parameter to another one. Maybe to the Difficulty. 2) - Or, we could put the images of the Nightmare in a gallery box, so the size would be alwyas the same and we wouldn't have that problem. Toughts? What is the best solution in your opinion? - MateusinhoEX - 16:54, 29 may 2013 (UTC)
I prefer option 1 cos it'll help when it comes to making the difficulty shown with images. TheFifteenthMember 17:12, 29 May 2013 (UTC)

Sorry for the late feedback, I'm kinda busy you know. But i was thinking on the template those days and I got to some questions about the Battle Portals:

  1. Will we put the notes about the locations (like if it's near something, near the entrance to another location) in the infobox? Or just the locations?
  2. Will we put just the name of the enemies or will we use galleries to put images of them?
  3. And for last, will it be divided in three boxes, one with the locations for Sora, another for Riku and another for ones that both can access, or will we divide them in numbered tabs with (Sora/Riku only) in front of the location names? Or even maybe divide them in Sora, Riku, Both, and inside them in numbers?

Once you guys give your opinions about these questions, I can start the box. - MateusinhoEX - 10:35, 04 June 2013 (UTC)

  • I think you should put in notes about the locations, since some areas have multiple portals.
  • If you're going to use galleries, how are you going to place the enemies that appear after some others have been defeated?
  • I think you should divide it in Sora and Riku and inside them with which Special Portal they appear.

TheSilentHero (talk) 13:55, 4 June 2013 (UTC)

  1. I think simply 'Portal 1', 'Portal 2' etc. will do. We should try to avoid cramming in too much information.
  2. If there is space, galleries but otherwise names are fine for me.
  3. I don't mind, either way works for me. EDIT: Oh, I misunderstood what you meant for point 1. I think it should have additional location information only if there is another in the same location. Sorry. TheFifteenthMember 15:59, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
