The Grid

Do we know for sure if Data Worlds can fall asleep/dream, or is like YMX says in DDD, that data can't dream? Meaning The Grid in DDD is actually in the present time? --Riku's battle sprite (KHDays) mikoto 08:16, 14 June 2022 (UTC)

On one hand it would make sense that data can't dream, since it's data, but on the other hand, we've also seen that a data character can grow a heart, so why shouldn't it be possible? It might just be YX messing with Sora. TheSilentHero 17:13, 14 June 2022 (UTC)
The Grid is tied to a non-data world, i.e. the one that Sam and Quorra escape to, so it would make sense if the real world were sleeping – so it would be a data world within a sleeping world. And while it isn't quite the same thing, it's worth noting that Data Daybreak Town explicitly enters a state of "sleep" following its destruction. Aid1043 (talk) 20:46, 14 June 2022 (UTC)
Oh. I didn't realize The Grid was tied to another world. For some reason, I just assumed it was... linked to Hollow Bastion? B/C of Ansem the Wise? But I forgot he copied it from somewhere to make Space Paranoids. Then it does make sense that The Grid is in another world that's asleep. --Riku's battle sprite (KHDays) mikoto 04:19, 16 June 2022 (UTC)

Ansem's Data

Ansem the Wise was able to store data containing a replica of Destiny Islands in Sora's heart, during his memory recovery in Twilight Town, which Riku accesses during his Mark of Mastery exam.

Do we know for certain the Destiny Islands in DDD is explicitly data? I always assumed it was just, like... the form Sora's heart took when Riku dived into it, if that makes sense. --Riku's battle sprite (KHDays) mikoto 05:51, 6 May 2023 (UTC)

Page move

As per this discussion and the KHIII glossary entry for Datascape, I propose we move this page to "Datascape" and the page for the Datascape made from Jiminy's Journal to "Datascape (KHC)", since "Data World" isn't the official term for these locations. Any objections? —Aid1043 03:50, 23 December 2023 (UTC)

Sounds good to me.--NinjaSheik 04:31, 23 December 2023 (UTC)
