Mechanics

Nightmare Clash is a Dual Link usable by Riku that automatically activates. It consumes both Dream Eaters, regardless of species or the amount of Link Gauge is filled, and completely fills their Link Gauges. Nightmare Clash clads the user in a golden aura. While in use, Riku's commands are unavailable, and the Attack command is replaced with Nightmare Clash. Nightmare Clash can nullify any damage received by Riku when parrying an attack. Once the Armored Ventus Nightmare's HP reaches 1, the Nightmare Clash command changes to Finish, which allows Riku to leap into the air, flip, and slam back into the ground, similar to Kick Dive. The Finish command stays available even after reverting. Should the Link Gauges hit 0 before the Finish command is available, Riku will revert while unable to use any action, aside from moving, jumping (including Doubleflight) and the Attack command. If Riku's HP drops to 0 with the Auto-Life status active, he will get revived, but will be immobilized and unable to use any commands. If he has Once More equipped, this situation can lead to a softlock.
