When using Hurricane Blast in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, Sora's Keyblade leaves bursts of light in its wake.

Hurricane Blast (ハリケーンピリオド , Harikēn Piriodo, lit. "Hurricane Period"), known as "Hurricane Period" in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX, is an ability that appears in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix. It allows Sora to spin-slash with the Keyblade 1080 degrees vertically in rapid moonsaults.

Mechanics

In Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Hurricane Blast is a combat ability that provides Sora with a powerful air combo finisher against enemies below. It costs 2 AP to equip.

In Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, Hurricane Period is an action ability that provides Sora with an aerial finishing move.

• Sora learns Hurricane Blast at level 27 with the Dream Sword, 51 with the Dream Shield, and 18 with the Dream Rod.

Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix

• Limit Form has Hurricane Period as a default ability.

When Roxas wields the Oathkeeper or Two Become One, the air combo finisher resembles the KH I FM version of Hurricane Blast. When Sora wields the Dream Sword, the air combo finisher resembles the KH II FM version of Hurricane Blast.

Kingdom Hearts Re:coded

While wielding a Keyblade with the Sonic Arts, Data-Sora can have one of his air combo finishers resemble Hurricane Blast from Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix. The command Wind Storm also somewhat resembles this attack.
