So I was looking in the forums on KH13.com (because lately that is only place with decent info on that site, and most of it is a bunch of newbs who exclaim how they discovered that Ven looks like Roxas for the first time) and I noticed that on a forum concerning Utada Hikaru, one of the seinor members claims that Utada left Square Enix for good because they wouldn't increase her pay or something. Well, I didn't believe it (in fact, I STILL don't), so I searched it up and I haven't found anything so far. So what do you think? Is this true (GODS, please no!) or is this just another forum rumor started by a guy who wants attention? This is a matter that concerns Kingdom Hearts fans because whether it's true or not, without Utada, we wouldn't get any new songs beyond Simple And Clean and Sanctuary, and I'm getting a little tired of repetitiveness so I pray she sings something new for KH3. So, some please tell me it's a lie!

 Read this. It's from KHInsider's main page (which, personally, I trust a great deal more than any forums), but it's from June of '09, so I don't know if their minds will change by the time the game begins development. No indication of that though.

Well, they are pondering over the High Def scenes for KH3 right now, so they would have the opening music in mind, so I really hope they come up with a decision on that soon (and I HOPE it is WINNING BACK UTADA!).

I actually don't think they've even STARTED working on KH3 yet, and I know they can't do any actuall production while the Versus 13 team is busy. It almost seems like that interview with Utada was more in reference to BBS which was a major game still in production,as oppossed to KH3.76.4.6.157 22:07, November 16, 2010 (UTC)
Also, this thread's title should probably be changed, Utada was never "with" Square Enix, she was commissioned by Disney, who apparently decided not to increase her pay.76.4.6.157 22:11, November 16, 2010 (UTC)
