Keyblade-Blk.png Kingdom Hearts Wiki:Traverse Town.

I think that this really needs an update, a reorganization. This page has become virtually useless and unused; I think that we should re-do it so that it can become a center of attention for active contributive Users, such as TWTNW Forums.

The community must first determine what they want to use the Portal for, kupo. Community participation has been very strong within the forums, kupo, and I doubt anyone would want to engage in oldschool wikipedia style convos, kupo. What do you have in mind, kupo?

If I'm not mistaken, generally, community portals serve to collect links to access various pages and services provided for the community,

Keyblade-Blk.png Perhaps we should put up some links to Kingdom Hearts Wiki: pages? Such as the Featured Media voting, Pages For Deletion, perhaps active Forum discussions as well? I think that this Wiki's community is quite used to using the Forums for suggestions and issues, but perhaps we could also use the Community Portal as a place to post vandals that an Admin needs to stomp out, and having voting/Wiki concensus decisions made here as well. Comments?

That's all good and all, kupo. I'd like to hear any other ideas,

Keyblade-Blk.png I'll reel in some more Users.

I agree with DTN. But, is there anyway we could keep specific forum pages at the top of the forum. People will instantly forget where to post vandalism unless it's kept in full view. Just an idea?

FA icon.png Hm. So we're thinking of a page with subsections like the front page : Forums/Featured Media/P for D + CoreWiki (Consensus/Complaints/Vandals) + a section for crazy ideas/suggestions perhaps ? For the wiki, of course.

Keyblade-Blk.png Yes, rather not the crazy ideas related to North Korea or microwavable explosives. ^_^

That or in those transparent boxes like we have now. I don't think it shuld be as grand and apparance-based as the front page is. This a page for the Users' work, after all. Plus, then we could maybe get rid of that page for voting for featured media. Also, maybe you all forgot, but perhaps we should place Kingdom Hearts Wiki:Realm of Nothingness there as well. Or we could delete it; I'm not that fond of it, and it's not used anymore.

Keyblade-Blk.png I like this idea. We should have an area for Users while the main page can be for readers or anons. This is just what I think we should put on it.
  • Voting for Media
  • Voting for any Wiki decisions
  • Area for suggestions
  • Link to the forums
    • Perhaps we could even have a little box that tells what recent forum topics are being discussed
  • Link to Page for Deletions
  • Places for contacting either Admins or Central Wiki for vandals or wiki problems
  • Ongoing projects of Users. Someone can add a project they have if they want some help on it.
  • When the sidebar and Main page was changed, they got rid of the section of Main categories. I don't about anyone else but I liked having that. Maybe we could have a list of the major categories.
  • On Wikipedia's community portal, they have a Guidelines, Help, and Resources section, see it here. ---> [1] Maybe we could add something like that with links to the Manual of Style, Help pages and other stuff.

P.S. I don't see why we need the Realm of Nothingness page either.

Keyblade-Blk.png I think that's a good list of content. For a voting section, the poll section would have to be utilized. I like the idea of have a box telling of active forums, mainly because that I also suggested it. ^_^ The project section would probably help Users who are constantly asking for something to do, too. Take a look at the project template at User:Azul81677/Castle Oblivion#Projects. As for the final bullet, I was thinking that we could post all of the common help pages and Kingdom Hearts Wiki-space pages.

Keyblade-Blk.png I was thinking about that template but couldn't remember where I saw it. I think we could use it as long as Azul is okay with it but I don't see why he wouldn't. I was also thinking maybe we could have our own Cleanup Drive for serious users and that it could be more focused to the behind going-ons in the Wiki like editing categories, redirects or even going through the Articles for Deletion category.
