No, there's no witty passage from Pierce Hawthorne's eulogy from his father, no meta or cultural references, and no self-removed humor to be found here. Only an apology; whether it is heartfelt or not is up to the reader. DTN...it's been a while, since you and I just talked...and I wish circumstances would allow us to do so again. I truly do. I'm sure if you bothered to come back, lurking as an anon and read this, the first words that would come to your mind would be, "I'm gone, and that's how I like it". I don't blame you, nor will I lie; I was the one who pushed you to leave, I was the one who constantly tested and provoked you into jumping ship for good, and I deserve all the hate I have coming to me because of this. I guess before, I never really wanted to admit it, but...I'll rid myself of the tough guy facade. I liked you. I respected you. Hell, I was envious of you as well...unfortunately, that envy overshadowed my respect, and eventually consumed it. I failed to give you that respect, because I would think you thought you were better than me, which made me think I was better than you, so I thought it was my job to show you up. That was the greatest mistake I made. I poked and prodded you, waiting for a reaction, half-expecting you'd leave...you did a few times, and I had my own silent victories. But then, you actually did leave. For good. I had no victory. I couldn't even crack a smile. I realized that you had been right the whole time; you, DoorToNothing, are one of the best editors I know, if not the best. This Wiki is one of the best, if not the best. I'm sorry for what I've done to you, and for what I've done to everyone else. To sum everything up, DTN...I simply cannot count the reasons for why you should stay, because, the longer you're gone, one by one, they all just fade away. I bid you anu, because I hope we will meet again, and I can tell you this in person.
