Drive Boost is an Ability acquired in Kingdom Hearts II, described as "Allows you to fill up the Drive Gauge faster during MP restoration." In essence, it makes the Drive Gauge fill up faster while in MP restoration, the effect of the ability depends on the number of Drive Boost equipped. Due to MP Hastega, Ultima Weapon doesn't help with that ability; nor does any MP Haste ability equipped to Sora, for MP Haste gives less time for the player to try to fill the Drive Gauge with Drive Boost. This ability causes all of the drive orbs you collect to be worth a lot more than usual when you use up your MP. This will not help you when you go into Valor Form unless you have used up all your MP before you change into the form. This is useful, but is completely useless depending on all of your MP abilities.
