The Gathering Place is a world, or possibly just a location within another world. It was first revealed in the secret ending at the end of Kingdom Hearts II. In Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, The Lingering Sentiment can be fought here after a series of side-quests. Several scans of Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep show scenes from this area; including one of Terra confronting Master Xenahort.

Setting

All that has been seen in this area is a deserted sand area. This could be either because The Gathering Place only consits of sand and nothing else,or it could be just a location in a currently unknown world. The area looks faintly like "The Great Maw" in Hallow Baston\Radiant Garden.
