TALK - "My antiques!"
You've been here for a bit, but I see no one has welcomed you yet. So here it is! Welcome to the wiki, and if you need anything, or want a talk bubble, I am ready to help.

Huh, hadn't noticed that. Thanks. I've been meaning to get a talk bubble, but I haven't had time to go find the template yet.Neo Bahamut 20:52, 19 March 2012 (UTC)

You can create your own template at Template:Neo Bahamut and use that. The source code for many different talk bubbles and some tutorials on how to build them can be found here. Good luck! LightSymbol Character - Roxas.pngRoxas 00:06, 21 March 2012 (UTC)

Terra-Xehanort trivia[edit]

The wiki has a policy that trivia should be limited, and that any trivia we keep should be rather striking. The wording of the Terra-Xehanort thing basically amounted to "Ansem SoD speaks the whole time, while Terra-Xehanort stops speaking during a short period." While that's something that could possibly be worked into the boss fight or personality section, it does not justify a prominent trivia section.98.223.102.157 06:46, 21 March 2012 (UTC)

No, that is not what it said. As I explained in one of my edits, in-battle speech is a staple of EVERY time you fight Xehanort directly--Xemnas, Ansem, Master Xehanort, & most of the fights against Terra-Xehanort--EXCEPT for this one round.* I, for one, find it striking that he abandons his traditional MO for that one fight. At the very least, I think it's more significant than this:

"Terra-Xehanort does not serve as a boss battle until the series' sixth installment, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. Until Birth by Sleep, he was known as Xehanort and built up to be the main villain of the Xehanort Saga, although that game's events appear to place Master Xehanort in that role instead."

This is just stating the obvious. Terra-Xehanort is fought for the first time in the prequal, because he's fought as his Nobody or his Heartless in the rest of the series. Xehanort is the main villain, but we later found out that Xehanort was just a step in Master Xehanort's life.

Now, it would be great if Kingdom Hearts titled its fights or something, so I had a convenient label to refer to that round by, but it doesn't, so I have to explain the specifics as best as I can. I can't just say, "Terra-Xehanort doesn't talk," because that is wrong.

  • =Okay, technically, this also holds true for the Unknown battles against him, but in that case, it's because the developers are trying to keep his identity a secret.Neo Bahamut 14:27, 21 March 2012 (UTC)
What I'm trying to say is, this wiki strongly discourages notes in the trivia section that are anything weaker than "Spectre is the only lesser Nobody to appear in Chain of Memories". That doesn't mean you can't cover the information elsewhere, just that it looks unprofessional to call it out as a note when there's a ton of qualifiers on it. Trivia notes should be really striking and unique. You could probably cover your intended note in the story or strategy or personality sections, with something like, "unlike previous (and future) battles, Terra-Xehanort remains oddly quiet in this fight." But a trivia note with several qualifiers falls apart under its own weight.192.249.47.177 16:49, 21 March 2012 (UTC)
There are a ton of qualifiers in the thing I just quoted. Plus, I'm not sure if it even qualifies as personality. Knowing Nomura, I'm pretty sure he did it for a reason, what I can't say is what that reason is. To be honest, I don't think I intend to pursue the addition at all. It's already proven to be more trouble than it's worth.Neo Bahamut 17:17, 21 March 2012 (UTC)
I don't see more than one qualifier in the one you quoted, although that could stand to be in the lead as well. The central point is ("Xehanort" is not actually a boss in the Xehanort Saga)/(Until KHBbS). That Master Xehanort replaced him as the "true antagonist" is really just context.
The policy I'm going over is the one we've had for trivia for a few years now, so keep it in mind for future stuff. It is always preferred to work stuff like that into the actual content, rather than pulling it out as a trivia note.192.249.47.177 21:58, 21 March 2012 (UTC)

Let's Talk About the Mirage Arena[edit]

This is the second edit I've made there that had to be reverted. Frankly, I don't have a clue what I'm doing. I thought the votes on the nomination page were just comments, & I didn't realize the Frozen Pride vs. Centurion thing had ended when I voted. Just thought I should explain that.Neo Bahamut 14:50, 21 March 2012 (UTC)
