Demyx is known as the Rhythm Blaster, as he has only two Brave attacks (Ground and Midair) but they can do various things depending of button input. However, he has multiple HP Attacks.

Attacks

Brave Attacks

Move Type CP (Mastery) AP to Mastery Obtained Description
Wild Dance Ground 30 (15) 200 Initial Performs a two-hit sitar combo. If timing is missed, Demyx will perform a standard attack finisher. If pressing the Circle button is perfectly timed, Demyx will follow with a different attack :


  • During the first hit : Strikes the enemy once, before throwing the enemy into the air with a quick motion. If timing is missed, the last motion will initiate Chase. If pressing the Circle button is perfectly timed, Demyx will follow with a different attack :

*During the first hit : Sends multiple bubbles of water towards the enemy.

*During the second hit : Summons orbs of water to fall on the enemy.

  • During the second hit : Demyx creates a sound wave in a circle-pattern to repel the opponent, then strikes him away with another sound wave, this time directed towards him. If timing is missed, the last motion will initiate Chase. If pressing the Circle button is perfectly timed, Demyx will follow with a different attack :

*During the first hit : Summons a single pillar of water below the opponent, striking him multiple times.

*During the second hit : Traps the enemy within a bubble before exploding it.

Savage Dance Aerial 30 (15) 200 Initial Performs a two-hit sitar combo. If timing is missed, Demyx will perform a standard attack finisher. If pressing the Circle button is perfectly timed, Demyx will follow with a different attack :


  • During the first hit : attacks with a single hit, before shooting a bubble. If timing is missed, the bubble will just fade, doing little damage. If pressing the Circle button is perfectly timed, Demyx will follow with a different attack :

*During the first hit : Deals a powerful offensive combo with the sitar.

*During the second hit : Slams the bubble - and the enemy - in the ground, dealing Wall Rush.

  • During the second hit : Demyx performs a spin-like attack, hitting twice If timing is missed, a finisher will slam the opponent even higher, initiating Chase. If pressing the Circle button is perfectly timed, Demyx will follow with a different attack :

*During the first hit : Summons a pillar of water below opponent, before striking him one last time with the sitar, blasting him away from the pillar.

*During the second hit : Dashes towards the enemy and crosses him, dealing damage as a chain of water pillars follow Demyx.

HP Attacks

Bubble Beat (Ground) Ground 40 (20) 300 Initial Attacks the enemy by sending several bubbles towards the enemy. Bubbles are very slow moving, as though they are almost immobile, but they linger for a long time.
Arpeggio (Ground) Ground 40 (20) 300 Initial Sends a row of water pillars to chase and strike the enemy.
Wave Gigs Ground 40 (20) 300 Level 7 Summons a wall of water pillars. If you hold the Square button, you can slowly move towards the enemy, repeating the attack.
Aqua Splash Ground 40 (20) 300 Level 25 Summons pillars of water in a totally random fashion. If you hold the Square button, you can slowly move towards the enemy, repeating the attack.
Bubble Beat (Midair) Aerial 40 (20) 300 Initial Attacks the enemy by sending several bubbles towards the enemy. Bubbles are very slow moving, as though they are almost immobile, but they linger for a long time.
Water Blitz Aerial 40 (20) 300 Initial Summons several bubbles to rain above the opponent. He has some time to evade, though.
Arpeggio (Midair) Aerial 40 (20) 300 Level 16 Sends a row of water pillars to chase and strike the enemy.

Ex Mode

Demyx's Ex Mode is called Finale ! : Demyx gains a blue-ish aura and his Sanctuary weapon - he gets the usual Regen, but also another : two water notes appear near him and follow him, sometimes randomly attacking the enemy. They also move during each of Demyx's HP attacks.

Demyx's Ex Burst is the Show Stealer ! : Demyx will play his sitar and you will have to press 9 buttons, as in a rhythm game. If you fail, Demyx will end by summoning pillars of water. If you succeed, the powerful Tsunami Blast ! will crush the enemy with many pillars of water, before Demyx ends it with the final chord : the music ends and the enemy is crushed by a powerful blast of water.

Combo + Action 10 (5) 80 Level 6 On the ground, push Circle at the end of a physical combo to add one more hit to the combo.
Midair Combo + Action 10 (5) 80 Level 12 In the air, push Circle at the end of a physical combo to add one more hit to the combo.

Bonus Tempo Extra 30 (15) 180 Level 61 Pressing the Circle button with perfect timing while attacking the enemy allows Brave Damage to be increased.
