Axel is a Burst Chaser, focusing on quick swipes of his Chakrams to initiate Chase Sequence. His Brave Attacks are very flexible and may be interrupted or modified in the middle of them.

Move Type CP (Mastery) AP to Mastery Obtained Description
Burst Edge (Ground) Ground 30 (15) 180 Initial Deals multiple hits with each Chakram. If you hold the directional stick in the "Up" direction, Axel will send the enemy into the air instead of in front of him.<br\/>Additional Effect : Chase.
Raging Spin (Ground) Ground 30 (15) 180 Initial Spins Chakrams around Axel several times. If you press Circle in the middle of the combo, both Chakrams will quickly be sent towards the opponent.<br\/>Additional Effect : Chase.
Firetooth Ground 30 (15) 180 Level 11 Ignites the Chakrams and performs multiple combos. At the end of the combo, you can press Circle again to throw a blazing Chakram towards the enemy like a boomerang. Deals Fire damage.<br\/>Additional Effect : Chase (If Circle is not pressed), Wall Rush (If Circle is pressed).
Edge Rain Ground 30 (15) 180 Level 24 Throws the Chakrams towards the enemy several times, making them bounce back on him and return to the sender. By pressing Circle, ends the combo by igniting the Chakrams and dealing a double hit with flaming Chakrams. Deals Fire damage.<br\/>Additional Effect : Chase.
Wheel Slasher Ground 30 (15) 180 Level 41 Dashes towards the enemy and attacks by making Chakrams spin around Axel at different angles. Pressing Circle in the middle of the combo allows to end it with a more powerful, focused spinning slash.<br\/>Additional Effect : Chase (If Circle is pressed).
Burst Edge (Midair) Aerial 30 (15) 180 Initial Deals multiple hits with each Chakram. If you hold the directional stick in the "Up" direction, Axel will send the enemy into the air instead of in front of him.<br\/>Additional Effect : Chase.
Warping Slice Aerial 30 (15) 180 Initial Throws Chakram past enemy and warps behind him to catch the Chakram. By pressing Circle at that moment, Axel will slash the enemy's back with both Chakrams.<br\/>Additional Effect : Chase.
Raging Spin (Midair) Aerial 30 (15) 180 Level 4 Spins Chakrams around Axel several times. If you press Circle in the middle of the combo, both Chakrams will quickly be sent towards the opponent.<br\/>Additional Effect : Chase.
Firaga Edge Aerial 30 (15) 180 Level 30 Summons several fire rings around Axel, dealing massive damage. Deals Fire damage.
Razor Bite Aerial 30 (15) 180 Level 47 Deals multiple vertical spins of the Chakrams. By pressing Circle, changes the trajectory into a more horizontal one.

Explosion (Ground) Ground 40 (20) 300 Initial Uncharged version throws both Chakrams, creating two small explosions ; charged version makes Axel combine his Chakrams into a single, flaming one for a single, bigger explosion.
Fire Wall Ground 40 (20) 300 Level 17 Summons a wall of fire. By holding the Square button, Axel can move freely (but slowly) along with the fire wall.
Explosion (Midair) Aerial 40 (20) 300 Initial Uncharged version throws both Chakrams, creating two small explosions ; charged explosion makes Axel combine his Chakrams into a single, flaming one, for a single, bigger.
Sacrifice Aerial 40 (20) 300 Level 36 Axel throws his own body towards the enemy and sets it aflame, creating a massive explosion, harming everyone in the way. However, it is a risky move, considering that the long cooldown time leaves Axel very vulnerable.

Ex Mode

Axel's Ex Mode is the Eternal Flame. Axel gains fire all over his body, allowing him to damage the enemy on contact, and to deal more hits while hitting the enemy with a close-ranged attack.

Axel's Ex Burst is called Eruption, in which Axel throws his Chakrams towards the enemy, and you will have to press simultaneously two directional pad buttons, three times. If you don't succeed, Axel will throw his Chakrams one last time. If you do succeed, Axel will set the enemy aflame and detonate them.
