Delete or Merge?[edit]

Since this game is covered on 2.8's page and since the updates are usually posted on those pages just like in the past with 1.5 and 2.5, I think this page is not necessary and should be deleted or merged with Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue. -Adv193 (talk) 15:23, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

I think it's a different situation since all titles in this compilation are new. Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue should be more treated like Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+ which contained Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories. --ShardofTruth 15:48, 15 June 2016 (UTC)~
Let's see what other people think first since if the changes are too minor then there would not be a need for this page. So far all there is only one new Dream Eater, so right now nobility is not good enough where a new page is required. -Adv193 (talk) 15:58, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
I agree with Shard. 0.2 and Back Cover are completely new, and DDD HD had to be changed from 3DS to PS4, so it looks more like a remake, like Re:CoM, than a HD port. Also, it's the only HD port where the name changed. TheSilentHero 17:09, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
It is a version of Dream Drop. 1.5, 2.5, 2.8, and FM2+ should all be treated as "containers" for games. Personally, I'd prefer the HD games (FMHD, ReCOMHD, FM2HD, BbSHD, and DDDHD) be treated the way we treat international vs. JP versions of games -- they are still fundamentally the same product, with less differences than in an FM or Re, though DDDHD is simultaneously less than a Re (little new content) and more (complete change in mechanics)."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." So maybe we should finalize this matter with some sort of voting because I also think that this is the only way the whole ordeal can still make some sense, especially with further remasters lurking around the corner. Basically this means new title = new entry, old title = footnotes, which should also result in the removal of the 1.5, 2.5, 2.8 icons and the HD naming conventions (with the exception of DDDHD of course). --ShardofTruth 20:29, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
I'm okay with treating 3D HD as an analogue to an FM, as that what it seems to be doing especially with the news that it does indeed have new content. It's an actual game, as well, rather than just a windows start menu."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 17:45, 20 June 2016 (UTC)

Right now I consider this as being similar to Birth by Sleep HD as it is an overhaul of a hand-held game, to a more general console-based game in terms of controls (and possibly removal of multi-player features). While their has been at least one confirmed addition, right now I feel if possible to wait for more information to avoid "jumping the gun" so an assessment can be made to determine if a separate page for Dream Drop Distance HD is required (all the Final Mixes had more than enough changes to warrant their own releases aside from the fact they are considered official separate releases, while Dream Drop Distance is part of 2.8). In the case of FM2+ regarding Re:Chain of Memories, don't forget A. It was a total remake instead of just being a simple overhaul of the control system (ex. changing the 2D environment to a 3D environment) B. It already had more than enough changes to warrant it's own page. Therefore my idea is to wait to see if aside from the new Dream Eater if there is going to be more new content first. -Adv193 (talk) 21:54, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

To me, the extent to which the HD version is different is irrelevant. It's a new title so it should get its own page. TheFifteenthMember 23:33, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
