Sonic Step

Sonic Step (ソニックステップ, Sonikku Suteppu) is an ability in Kingdom Hearts III. It allows the user to dodge by vanishing into the direction dodged and reappearing as a blur at their destination, upon which the user spins their Keyblade around themselves to damage nearby enemies.

Mechanics

In Kingdom Hearts III, Sonic Step is a mobility ability exclusive to Double Form that is activated by pressing / while moving. It can also be used to initiate Flowmotion when used towards a pole or a wall.

Despite what its in-game description states, this ability can be used both on the ground and in the air, but only in combat. Air Slide will replace it when out of combat, even if Sora has no Air Slides normally equipped.
