'''Pence''' is a resident of [[Twilight Town]]. He is a fifteen-year-old boy and a friend of [[Hayner]] and [[Olette]]. In ''[[Kingdom Hearts II]]'', a virtual Pence was a friend of [[Roxas]] while Roxas is in the [[Simulated Twilight Town]]. However, in ''[[Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days]]'', his real self did speak to Roxas and [[Axel]]. Pence returns in ''[[Kingdom Hearts III]]''.

Roxas spots Pence, Hayner, and Olette playing in Twilight Town. Later, Roxas and Axel encounter Pence in the underground tunnel in Twilight Town, where he helps the duo find [[Xion]] with his knowledge of Twilight Town. He meets Roxas again when Roxas comes to Twilight Town, and teaches him how to play [[Grandstander]] alongside Hayner and Olette.

===''Kingdom Hearts II''===
A virtual version of Pence was in [[Ansem the Wise|DiZ]]'s Simulated Twilight Town, where he, Hayner, and Olette were best friends to Roxas.

After [[Sora]] awakens in the real Twilight Town, Pence and his friends slightly recognize Sora when they first meet him (most likely due to their meeting of Roxas earlier), but they do not mention Roxas. The trio of friends send Sora, Donald, and Goofy off at the Train Station. Pence later becomes friends with [[Kairi]], and tries to find her after she is taken by Axel. Outside of the [[Old Mansion]], he, Hayner, and Olette meet up with Sora and eventually find the Simulated Twilight Town through Pence's knowledge of computers.

Pence, along with Olette and Hayner are first seen running from a [[Demon Tide]] before they flee and Sora defeats it. Olette, Hayner, and Pence agree to help Sora look for Roxas. They first search around town before catching up with Sora in the old mansion. While Pence works on the computer with [[Ienzo]], Hayner and Olette go work their short job putting up special posters for [[Scrooge McDuck]] so they can save up munny for the beach. Pence is absent from the Tram Common most the game as he works with Ienzo the permissions of the Twilight Town old mansion computer so Ienzo can extract Roxas' data memories, which [[Vexen]] would later use to make his vessel.

Olette, Hayner, and Pence later find [[Ansem the Wise]] at the old mansion. When they see Ansem the Wise with [[Ansem, Seeker of Darkness]] and how he feels bad for what he did to Roxas, they knew he was a friend of Roxas and in trouble, so they devise a plan to save Ansem the Wise from Ansem, Seeker of Darkness. While Pence attempts to distract Ansem, Seeker of Darkness, and Hayner attempts to drop kick him before being saved by a group of [[Dusk|Dusks]], Olette flees to safety with Ansem the Wise. Ansem the Wise meets Hayner, Pence, and Olette for the first time despite creating digital versions of them. Ansem the Wise was their lead on Roxas after all when they then meet Vexen who says he too wishes to atone.

Pence becomes friends with the real Roxas and sits with Olette, Hayner, [[Lea]], [[Xion]], Roxas, and [[Isa]]. Pence later goes to the beach of [[Destiny Islands]] with Roxas and the rest of the Twilight Town gang.

==Appearance==
Pence appears to be a rather heavy-set boy with light skin, brown eyes, and black hair and eyebrows. Pence holds his hair up using a headband.

In ''Kingdom Hearts II'', he wears a short-sleeved, white shirt with dark cuffs underneath a red jersey with black and white lining. The jersey sports a black silhouette of a seemingly skeletal dog with three bones above it. The phrase "Dog Street" is printed along the left side in large, white letters, which may be a nod to another Square Enix made game, ''{{w|The Bouncer (video game)|The Bouncer}}''. He also wears blue pants, blue and white shoes with grey soles, and a purple bandana around his neck.

In ''Kingdom Hearts III'', he wears a redesigned version of his past outfit. His headband is fully black, his bandana is orange, his shirt is black-and-white and the "Dog Street" is above the dog, his jeans are black, and the blue on his shoes is orange.

==Personality==
A good-humored boy with an even temper, he is close to Olette like a brother. He also usually ends up being dragged by Olette to help her with her shopping. He has a knowledgeable account of the [[Seven Wonders|Seven Wonders of Twilight Town]] and is apparently skilled with computers as he manages to access the computer in the mansion.

In the manga, Pence is always happy whenever he has food.
