Delete?[edit]

This page is hardly used now; admins like KrytenKoro and I (I presume Neumannz as well) usually scan or watch over the RC's to check for any pages in need of deletion. Plus, with our move off-Wikia, vandalism and the creation of "mistake articles" has been extremely low. The page is so unused that it hasn't even needed archiving in almost a year. It seems to me that this wiki's administrators can handle the deletions on their own. If a situation is terribly urgent, the page is question's talk page can be used, or an administrator can be messaged on their user talk page. --DTN Room Core.png 01:10, 24 May 2011 (EDT)

Hi.
We should still hang onto it. Especially since we're hoping our traffic goes back up towards what it was before the move, and there's no telling what will come up. There's no reason why we shouldn't keep it as an option in the meantime, right? --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 01:25, 24 May 2011 (EDT)
Honestly, I don't remember ever using this page; if I did, it was because I was specifically asked to come here and do it.
I don't think that the page, in it's current form, is useful. I think the page should at least have the normal stuff archived and instructions commented out, and replaced with a message to simply contact an admin. I mean, this isn't wikipedia, where we're all in major disagreement about whether to keep a page or not."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 01:35, 24 May 2011 (EDT)
Hi.
In contrast to KrytenKoro, I remember using this page... like a year ago if not more, back when our wiki still could argue decently over whether or not a page could be deleted. We've become more sensible and uniform now though, as KrytenKoro states above. Once our traffic increases and our community grows with new members, we could always restore this page if we choose to delete it. --DTN Room Core.png 01:37, 24 May 2011 (EDT)

OK, this is why we should be using this page. All the images being replaced get hit with the DELETE template, but then they get lost in the RC, so there end up being a number of images that fall through the cracks. Those should be listed here. Personally, I don't like having to scour the RC for images that are no longer needed, especially during or after a period of very high traffic. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 14:44, 13 June 2011 (EDT)

Having gone through the articles marked for deletion, for a number of them, not a valid reason was put on the VFD template. We are expected to guess why, and oftentimes, we can't come up with an explanation as we can't be expected to patrol 2600 pages at the same time. Save us the time and trouble — keep the page already! And if I hear anymore mention of deleting the Pages for Deletion page, I tell you in all earnesty: we are going to have trouble going through the articles for deletion.
