Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png I've hinted at this for a couple days, but now, the question is official. The idea came from TheFifteenthMember noting how the new main page doesn't look all that great in mobile, and the recent Google I/O developers' conference. So. Do we want an official mobile app for the wiki? Is there a need/use for one?

If yes, I'd love to get on it and try to do it. Especially with whoever knows about the site's content/layout and all that (still a newbie at the whole coding/programming thing). But, I can't guarantee my full involvement. If we don't, I'll probably still try, I just won't publish it, if sucessful (It'll end up being a small, fun, personal project/hobby). So, what do you guys think? Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png

I like the idea, but what exactly would the app do? What would be included? Eternal Flames KHD.pngChainoffirePizza Cut KHD.png 04:07, 1 July 2014 (UTC)

Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png An easy place to start, I feel, would be simply displaying the Wiki's content/articles in supported/fluid mobile formats. Eventually, adding support for editing articles and uploading files would be good, too, I'd think. That'd be about it, that I can think of.

I'm trying to start one for Windows 8, since that's my OS and I have more experience with it. Though I'd love to try Android, too. Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png

If we can do it, I'd love to get notifications when someone edits my talk page Eternal Flames KHD.pngChainoffirePizza Cut KHD.png 06:15, 1 July 2014 (UTC)

I say yes. Or at the very least, we need a mobile version. --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 12:58, 1 July 2014 (UTC)
That sounds great if you can manage to make one! I do think the mobile (android and iOS) versions should be prioritised before other app platforms though. TheFifteenthMember 16:03, 1 July 2014 (UTC)

Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png Ok, I started the forum on my PSP's web browser, so I didn't have space to finish my last thought, which is conveniently a response to FM's statement (what are the odds...). Well, I'm doing Windows 8 app because, like I said, I'm more familiar with the platform, so I've figured out how it would be designed. I'd love to do Android (that hype comes from watching Google I/O), and my parents have an Android tablet, so I can figure out the design/form of the app. But I have no connection/experience what so ever with iOS, so I couldn't really do much there. (Anyone up for that job?) Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png
Instead of creating an entire app, is it possible to install some sort of plugin that allows mobile viewing? And then, we can customise how mobiles view and edit pages. That way, mobiles only need to visit the site; they don't need to download anything else. TheFifteenthMember 16:39, 2 July 2014 (UTC)
