So with Kingdom Hearts χ, I want to talk a bit about Ephemera and what everyone thinks the story with him is. A couple people have suggested a connection to Xehanort given their similar attire. Others have suggested that Ephemera is the Unknown χ - which seems even more likely now with his interaction with Master Ana (she asked if he was teasing her because she was the easiest of the Foretellers to talk to, possibly hinting that he's at odds with the other Foretellers, and furthermore the teasing she was referring to was when he asked her to divulge the secrets of the Book of Prophecies - which we all know the sixth apprentice was left out of). So what does this all mean? Personally I like to think that it means that Ephemera later becomes the master who trained Xehanort and Eraqus - which would explain why he had the ancient Keyblade as it's thought to have been one of the six Keyblades of the six apprentices. The Master or Xehanort and Eraqus always talked of the Keyblade War apparently, so wouldn't it make sense it he was none other than Ephemera? I know it's a little far-fetched because of the time gap between the Keyblade War and Xehanort's time, but pretty much anything can happen in this universe as we've seen. Additionally, people have questioned Master Ana's role as well, some thinking that Ana is Kairi's Grandmother based on her desire to seek out children (Keyblade Wielders not bound to the confines of the Unions) to preserve the world should the final prophecy be realized, as well as her name being a translation for grandmother (though I forget from which language). Once again time would be an issue, but it would also be an interesting twist given how much Kairi's Grandmother seems to know about the destruction and rebirth of the Realm of Light, and it would make Kairi's role seem a lot more prominent. As an added tidbit some people also seem to think that the amount of Keyblade Wielders that will be gathered by Master Ana will end up being 20 to mirror the current situation with the recreation of the χ-Blade.

Furthermore other people seem to think that the Foreteller of Unicornis was sited in Twilight Town given that the old mansion has a lot of unicorn imagery and appears to have had a battle of some sort within at one time, which is supported by the destruction of certain rooms and comments made by Roxas in the beginning of Kingdom Hearts II. Perhaps a meeting between the Foretellers went south in the mansion? Imagine if one of the rooms you couldn't enter lead to a secret boss battle with the Unicornis Foreteller in Kingdom Hearts III!

Please let me know what you think about Ephemera, Master Ana and the Unicornis Foreteller :) (Levi657 (talk) 15:51, 26 September 2015 (UTC))

I've been thinking lately about the Foretellers and the Chirithy. Just keep in mind that most of what is to follow is theory. What I believe is that The Master entrusted The Book of Prophecies to Master Ava and the other Foretellers, but didn't feel as though his sixth apprentice was ready yet. This sixth apprentice is Ephemera, and he's been training to become worthy to wield his destined Keyblade (Master Xehanort's Keyblade) though he had a falling out with his former fellow apprentices because of his "unworthiness" to receive the knowledge of the Book of Prophecies, all while seeking out the purpose of Lux. As we know, Ava and the other Foretellers were horrified by the final entry in The Book of Prophecies where Light would fall to Darkness following a predicted battle on "that land" (Keyblade Graveyard), and so they used the power of The Book of Prophecies to create fake copies of worlds to stall the Heartless as they moved in on The Realm of Light and use "Cards/Medals" to access additional power from the future.

My assumption is that when "The Master" disappeared into The Realm of Sleep and lead to the creation of the Chirithy Dream Eaters, he did so to sort of fall out of the eye of the Foretellers so that he could manipulate them through the Chirithy. We know that the Foretellers have received reason to believe that there is a traitor among them, but what if that was just a set up so that the Unions would fight one another? I believe the old mansion in Twilight Town was where The Unicornis Foreteller went when he felt as though he couldn't trust his fellow Foretellers enough to remain in the Clock Tower of Daybreak Town. Now, Master Ava is also gathering special Keyblade bearers who aren't bound the ties of the Unions - I'm assuming that there will be 20 of them (mirroring the pieces of the Chi-Blade) and that their purpose is to act as a failsafe should the prophecy come true, and that they are the children whose light recreated the Realm of Light as it is today. I'm assuming that Master Ava and Ephemera are only going to get closer and may even confront Unicornis in Twilight Town if this is the case, where both parties would assume that they other is the traitor. In the end I think things would smooth over between the three and they'd enter the Realm of Sleep to confront The Master together. They'd end up losing to him and he'd escape and have the Chirithy tell Anguis, Leopardos and Ursus individually that they are the only remaining "pure" Foretellers and to meet him in the Keyblade Graveyard so that they can destroy the traitors together. This would bring about the prophecy, the Foretellers would fall and the Realm of Light would be swallowed in darkness. I'm assuming the collection of Lux is some form of power that The Master would use to access the Chi-Blade and Kingdom Hearts. Anyway, I presume that Ephemera would then lead Master Ava's Keyblade Bearers to reform the Realm of Lights through the Light in their Hearts and later become the Guardian of the Realm of Light and who would set the rules of the Keyblade Wielders and move their operations to the Land of Departure - eventually taking Xehanort and Eraqus as his apprentices.

I've heard other theories as well that I like the idea of - like Master Ava surviving but retiring and living her life as Kairi's Grandmother (something about "Ava" translating into "grandmother" in some language) and that there may have been another apprentice alongside Eraqus and Xehanort who was female (based on the observations of "trios" in this universe like Sora,Riku,Kairi and Aqua,Terra,Ventus) and that something happened to her that lead to the unease between Eraqus and Xehanort

Anyway, let me know what you think about all of this and if you have any more theories about how Chi ties with III feel free to voice them. (Levi657 (talk) 20:18, 1 October 2015 (UTC))

I think you're right about the master of masters, he is definitely up to something. He had six disciples (like Ansem), gave all of them a new name (something Xemnas did) and only five of them a tome of prophecy (there were Ansem's five original disciples and Xehanort, so maybe the Foretellers have a similar constellation). He wrote that book with the ability of his "eye that gazes into the future" (this may be very well the "Eye of Darkness" on every Foreteller's Keyblade) and probably held back the missing page the 2.8 FCP trailer mentions to impact the future in some way for good or worse. The Chirithy's are tools to him, apart from collecting light we don't know what they should accomplish yet though, as are the Foretellers.
Ephemera on the other hand seems to be introduced to establish new concepts that will definitely be important in Kingdom Hearts III. His name means something that is not preserved or lasting, so I don't think he will have the grand role you envision for him. Instead he seems to be in a state of being called "Unchained" which allows him to communicate with the player through dreams from another dimension (here we go parallel worlds theory of Kingdom Hearts). According to Foreteller Ava this opened state allows him to ride the winds and fly, that's probably why she calls him Dandelion. --ShardofTruth 09:02, 2 October 2015 (UTC)
Should this be merged with the other thread with similar points?"We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 13:24, 2 October 2015 (UTC)

Yes, I saw the update in the walkthroughs - I must say it's very interesting. I hesitate to say now that the Unknown-χ is actually The Master, and that Ephemera's Unchained state is likely a result of something that The Master did. If The Master really is the unknown and Ephemera is really the sixth apprentice, that would explain why Ephemera knew the figure shrouded in darkness that confronted him in the Clock Tower. Now of course we couldn't see much of this figure so it could've been anyone - but size and shape of the head suggests that it would either have been the Unknown or the Anguis Foreteller - which is again entirely possible as well since we don't know a lot about her either right now. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. (Levi657 (talk) 02:49, 3 October 2015 (UTC))

Just a thought, but could the conversation between Xehanort and Eraqus at the beginning of KHIII be Xehanort trying to see if Eraqus would be a worthy candidate as a vessel of Darkness? Just seems like their dialogue is mostly Xehanort attempting to pique Eraqus' curiosity through and through without giving himself away - especially after we've gotten a bit more in terms of details toward the full conversation from the translations of the Japanese D23 material this year (Levi657 (talk) 17:31, 18 November 2015 (UTC))

It's starting to seem pretty likely to me that Ephemera is the Unknown, and probably the one who wields the MX Keyblade."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 17:08, 3 March 2016 (UTC)
