Blaster Blaze (シューティングライド Shūtingu Raido?, lit. "Shooting Ride) is an Attraction that appears in Kingdom Hearts III. It allows the user to fire at enemies from a first-person view.

Mechanics[edit]

Extracted by VladVidya

In Kingdom Hearts III, Blaster Blaze can appear as an Attraction Situation Command. It has a base duration of 20 seconds. When used, Sora, Donald and Goofy board a floating vehicle equipped with three blasters, upon which a first person view is entered. The vehicle's movement and direction are controlled separately. Alongside Sora's attacks, Donald and Goofy will sometimes fire their blasters at enemies independently. An interface is added for the Attraction, showing an aiming reticle, a bar on the left that shows how much power the Thunder Booost command has left, and a score indicator that increases when hitting enemies, though the score has no effect on how the Attraction functions.

Kingdom Hearts III[edit]

  • The Blaster Blaze Situation Command can appear when hitting an enemy that has an Attraction indicator.

Origin[edit]

Blaster Blaze is based off Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, an interactive shooting dark ride first featured at the Magic Kingdom and later at several other Disney theme parks. Like in Kingdom Hearts III, the ride revolves around shooting lasers at targets to gain points. The ride's name differs between parks however the theme is the same, being themed after the Toy Story movies, specifically Buzz Lightyear's fictional backstory.
