Etymology

From Wikipedia, it seems that Phil's name refers to the Greek prince of the same name, probably taken for the easy name joke:

"In Greek mythology, Philoctetes (also Philoktêtês or Philocthetes, Φιλοκτήτης) was the son of King Poeas of Meliboea in Thessaly. He was a Greek hero, famed as an archer, and was a participant in the Trojan War."

As for his appearance and role, he seems to be based off of Chiron, a centaur whose duty it was to train the heroes. Infact, in the movie, Phil even claims that he taught some of Chiron's students. I want to putthis here first though, given that it's not technically confirmed and I know how some editors react to any amout of speculation. Should this be in the article? Aqua

Shouldn't someone add that he liked Aqua or at the very least, thought she looked nice? (He calls her sweet cheaks, etc. and there are many other examples) LiLLiPaDDy ~True tears are never seen, only hidden~ 12:55, September 22, 2010 (UTC)

He's a satyr. He likes all women, exactly in that way.Glorious CHAOS! 13:14, September 22, 2010 (UTC)

Okay, I never really payed attention to him, and I've never seen the movie.

If I remember correctly he said those kind of stuff to other girls in the movie as well 17master 13:53, September 22, 2010 (UTC)

To put it bluntly, satyrs are half-goat serial rapists. Philoctetes is supposed to be a "family-friendly" version of that.Glorious CHAOS! 14:06, September 22, 2010 (UTC)

...They're rapists? I never heard about that before ._. 17master 14:12, September 22, 2010 (UTC)
