Sonic Blade(ソニックブレード Sonikku Bured)is one of Sora's special abilities in the Kingdom Hearts series.

Kingdom Hearts

Sonic Blade is learned after Sora defeats Cerberus the first time and after he comforted Cloud, which Cloud in return grants him this ability. Although it is listed as one of Sora's special abilities, Cloud is also capable of executing a stronger version of Sonic Blade.

Description: A fast forward lunge where Sora runs past and damages enemy in range. This is also a magic based attack.
Effect: When close to an enemy, the command table's last box will appear the word Sonic Blade (provided you've equipped it) by selecting it Sora will make and fast forward pierce on the closest enemy in range. After the first strike, the last command box will turn into Rave. Pressing it will allow Sora to execute another faster pierce, Rave will appear three times provided that you managed to connect the combo. Once three Raves are executed, Blast will replace the last command box, by pressing it, the screen darkens and Sora executes a large forward dash pierce, damaging all foes opposing the direction and ending the combo.

Requirements: Three different types of attack cards

Ability: Rocket across the field, striking down any enemies in the way for up to seven attacks. Press A, or when it flashes on-screen, to add an attack. Pressing when it isn't on-screen will cancel the sleight.

Kingdom Hearts II

Several other abilities in Kingdom Hearts II have similar effects, such as Over the Horizon and Sonic End.

In Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+, Sonic Blade is one of four abilities that makes a comeback in Sora's Limit Form, and the commands Rave and Blast are replaced by reaction commands (which require the player to tap continuously). Just as in Re: Chain of Memories, Sora can land a maximum of seven successful pierces.

Trivia

• Like some of Sephiroth's attacks in Kingdom Hearts, the Sonic Blade attack makes an appearance in Dissidia Final Fantasy as one of Cloud's Brave attacks.
