Reconnect. Kingdom Hearts is the secret ending of Kingdom Hearts Re:coded. It is the second secret ending in the series to use both engine-style graphics and voice acting, the first being Blank Points, the secret ending of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep. Interestingly, both of these secret endings conclude with the phrase "Reconnect. Kingdom Hearts".

The return of Master Xehanort

King Mickey and Yen Sid are seen mid-conversation in the Sorcerer's Chamber of the Mysterious Tower. Mickey says that the location of Ventus's heart is now known, and Yen Sid concludes that all that remains for them to do is find Terra's heart. Yen Sid then proceeds to tell Mickey that he wonders what Xehanort's next actions will be. Mickey is puzzled as to how Xehanort could take any actions whatsoever, as both Xehanort's Heartless, "Ansem", and his Nobody, Xemnas have been destroyed. Yen Sid explains to him that this has actually caused the two to join together and recreate Xehanort, which also means Master Xehanort's return. Mickey, greatly shocked by this news, tells Yen Sid they have nothing to fear, as he, Sora, and Riku will be there to counter Master Xehanort should he attack again, but Yen Sid explains that another Master will be needed because this time, Master Xehanort may not be alone, and orders Mickey to bring Sora and Riku before him to undertake a Mark of Mastery Exam.
