The old book is an item in Kingdom Hearts that Sora must deliver to Merlin. It is actually the Hundred-Acre Wood.
Story
While on his second visit to Traverse Town, Cid asks Sora to deliver an old book to Merlin by going to the Mystical Housepast the door with a fire emblem. When he arrives, Sora sees a mirage Kairi from his heart where she says it is "like the Secret Place back home". When Merlin arrives, he explains that the book has Torn Pages that Sora must recover to restore the book to the Hundred-Acre wood.
