Illuminator
The Illuminator is a boss from Kingdom Hearts II.
A relatively unknown Heartless, the Illuminator was the first boss of Port Royal. Like the events in the Deep Jungle, the Illuminator had corrupted a gunsman--this time Captain Barbossa. The gecko-like Heartless used its powers to shroud the room in darkness. This made Barbarossa invincible, and it made things almost impossible to see. However, by searching out the Illuminator's glowing eyes, Sora was able to keep the Heartless at bay long enough to throw in some strong attacks onto the pirate captain. When Barbarossa was destroyed, the Illuminator died with him.
Ironically, the Illuminator bears a high resemblance to another reptilian Heartless with a similar strategy from Kingdom Hearts, the Stealth Sneak.
